I'd imagine Mattel has signed an exclusivity contract with WWE, but would it be possible to see Mattel take over TNA if Jakks under-performs (which it appears they're doing)?

Its possible. I mean any toy company could do any line they sign a deal for. I wouldn't think they would do the TNA superstars though as long as Mattel is under contract with WWE. WWE would probably not want them doing the other companies figures as well and helping TNA out like that. WWE wants to have top notch merchandise and be ahead of there competition

1) it's pretty much contractually impossible, and 2) why in the world would Mattel want to waste their resources on that dud of a brand?

why in the world would Mattel want to waste their resources on that dud of a brand? Three reasons: Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and Sting.

As long as they don't use wwe molds I don't see why not.

As long as they don't use wwe molds I don't see why not. Maintaining a good relationship with one of your top brands, for starters. TNA is a sinking ship.

why in the world would Mattel want to waste their resources on that dud of a brand? Three reasons: Hulk Hogan, Ric Flair, and Sting. Mattel has already dropped multiple lines that included the likes of Steve Austin, The Rock, Bret Hart, the Undertaker, and others. Those 3 names alone wouldn't get it done.

Those 3 names alone wouldn't get it done. Fine, add Jeff Hardy and Kurt Angle, but yes I think those three would sell exponentially better than Austin and The Rock. Undertaker is a proven shelfwarmer, and the only Brets that have been readily available for any length of time are BOPPV, which is a lousy likeness, and the all pink RRH one.

I'm pretty sure when the contract is signed that it says in the contract Mattel cannot make figures for any other wrestling company's. It won't happen. TNA figures to me don't even exist. The figures are so outdated and I still see the first two series they did sitting on the shelf.
