I got an elite Ryder in a trade and wasn't told about the stains, but I paid less then retail for it, so it wasn't as big an issue.
However, if my Andrei had shipped with stains, I'd be mad as well. It's a highly hyped and anticipated item. It's coming STRAIGHT from the company. It hasn't sat on shelves for two months or been packed in a box waiting to be stocked. Besides, we're 14 sets into the elite series and STILL having these problems?
Things aren't fixed if everyone is content with damaged product. This is just that, damaged. It isn't mint, and coming right out of the box, it should be. I wouldn't file the credit card dispute, but I would make Matty send me a fresh one without the defects on it.
At the end of the day, they're a company. Their job is to supply us, the consumers, with product we're happy with. If we aren't happy with it, and this isn't a case of just not liking it, then they need to know so they can resolve the issue for further lines.

Mattel can't guarantee if it'll have stains or not though unless they open the packaging. And theres no way they're changing the packaging so that he isn't wearing the singlet after they've already released the figure either.

Actually you could tell the fig was stained while in the package. I thought maybe it was just pieces from the fabric or something at first

The stains don't come out with acetone... Just saying. You have every right to be upset.
It's absurd that Mattel hasn't fixed this issue yet.

This site is def filled with a lot of mattel fan boys....damn u guys need to chill out. I have every right to complain and hopefully maybe one of the mattel design team can jump and address the issue of stained figures, this problem was supposed to be solved with the new fabric.
For all you who said u would keep it as is, I feel sorry for u cuz u should never ever settle for less....NEVER! At the end of the day customers should be happy with what they purchased, regardless of what the item is. U guys wanna waste ur hard earned money be my guest. But if u keep settling for less, mattel will continue to give u less.

What they can do, is make SURE that whatever they're using isn't going to stain like that. There is a way to fix it. Toys have come with clothing for YEARS. Until they do, they're to blame for instances like this.

I'm with Hulk on this. When you buy from a COLLECTORS' site and pay premium COLLECTORS' prices, you should have a reasonable expectation regarding the quality of a MINT ON CARD figure being MINT (read: defect-free).
This is ABSOLUTELY Mattel's fault. When Andre is on a TRU peg, the consumer can see the figs and decide for themselves if the stain is minor enough to warrant buying the figure. BUT, when they make them online only, Mattel takes away the ability for the consumer to "window shop" their figures and decide if they are willing to overlook such a defect.
And anyone who is willing to forgive a small stain, that is their prerogative. I have a Ryder Elite with a small stain on the leg because I WANTED that deco bad enough, and I knew it would probably be the only fig with that deco, so I overlooked it.
Looks like I will be happy to enjoy my Andre Mattel/Jakks fix-up for now.

Regardless of how much you pay if ur not happy With an item then your entitled to complain! Its called customer satisfaction! Id b pissed off to Mattel are a major company that Should not have these problems regardless of cloth or not! The 1st elite christian i had also had staines & i was well ed off i didnt complain then but if anotha Figure as it i sure will & their prices r well Over priced so why not, if u were eatin out & Ya steak was cold wouldnt u complain! Not takin any sides ere but as a customer u have Ya rights,i worked 4a company that went To peoples house installing products & a lot of Times they'd complain about nothing & they wasnt Even payin for it lol & The company would react to it so same should go for Mattel! Also my son is a big fan/collector of Thomas The Tank Which mattel ave taken over & its been stated that They might change the concept WTF Why oh why do the wanna do this,if they do Not only will they b destroyin a brand that as been Goin for over 20yrs but upsettin a lot of children That are familar with the way it is! Im jus thinkin theres not much sense @ mattel Seems like they want 2destroy every well known brand They can! Come on Mattel get with it!

This topics boring. How come more people talk about stuff like this (problems with manufactering) than the actual figures... :-(

End result:
This needs to come to an end because the fact that this has gone on for 5 pages of nothing but back and forth arguing over it is ridiculous, rather than talking about the figure itself.
If you wish to send the figure back, ask for a replacement/refund or file a dispute, that is your choice and your choice alone. Others feel that the stains are not that bad, while some are not happy with it as they feel they are paying for a good, quality figure, which they are.
Bottom-line; EVERYONE quit acting so immature about it and stop the arguing. If he is bothered by the stains, so be it. It isn't like he is coming on here and telling everyone to be bothered by the same thing.
Everyone has different opinions. Stains bother people but not others. Get over it.

I understand that I was the one who commented first. But if it wouldn't have been me, someone else would have come along.
This board needs to realize that there are always going to be other opinions and rather than say one is wrong and the other is right (WHICH I DID NOT DO, EVEN IN THE BEGINNING), they need to understand and respect others decisions. I even said that I UNDERSTOOD HIS FRUSTRATIONS!! No where did I say that I was right and he was wrong or the other way around.
