So I just received my DM5 Bret and while everything looked good on the outside, I noticed a thumping noise when I moved the box around. Upon inspection I noticed the gold base was at an angle and was moving around when I tilted the box. When I opened the box to fix the problem, I noticed the lower part of the inner packaging was worse for wear. I have a dm4 Taker so I know what the package should look like. I haven't gotten the Bret itself out yet but seems like maybe I got a returned figure? Thoughts?

Oooook.... you must be a HBK fan? And no, nothing wrong. His rubber bands were still in the right places, the flag didn't get ripped until I removed it (D'OH) and all accessories were present.

If you are not going to keep it MOC and the figure is good, I wouldn't worry. Most likely, it could've been messed up when being put together? I would check to make sure the figure is okay before trying to return it. Bret is not easy to find and returning it might get you your money back but you may not be able to find another figure at the same store.

Yeah the figure is good and im displaying it loose. Although I got it from Ringside Collectibles so if I needed to I probably could've gotten a new figure had mine been defective. And it is definitely one of the greatest figures I've ever seen. And if I wasn't worried about keeping my Jakks figures MOC, id swap the paper flag from Mattel with the cloth flag from the ringside fest Montreal Screwjob 2pack.

I like my bret in his box. If I display him loose though he's great with just the belt and shades. Hope everything's okay with your figure.

Thanks Skribbel and Dunk. Its a very solid figure, the nest I've ever owned. And um out of MOC display room, but DMs are easy to put back in the box if I want to repack him.
