Well...UPS guy dropped off my Andre and display stands that I ordered from MattyCollector last week. I have to say it is one AWESOME figure. They absolutely nailed this one. Also picked up the best of PPV Daniel Bryan from TRU. Looks like him and Bret are being packed with HHH & Cena and not in their own cases because they had a fresh case with 2 HHH, 3 Cena's & 1 Bryan. So it looks like the Bryan & Bret are going to be harder to come by then HHH & Cena...go figure. Anyway...on to the pics & reviews!
Let's start with Andre. Like I said earlier this figure is absolutely perfect. Mattel nailed every aspect imaginable. The body mold is new and NOT Big Show without the singlet. It's was specially made for Andre and is a great representation to what he looked like. The head is also perfect. Everything from the shape of the face, to the curly hair, to the very light 5 o'clock shadow for a beard. The head is flawless. The rest of the figure is pretty simple. The figure just has black tights under the singlet and black boots just like he wore. No knee pads, no elbow pads, no wrist tape. Just the singlet and boots just like he wore. And luckily for me the singlet left no marking on the body. Throw in the painted WWE title as a bonus and you have a perfect figure. So when it's all said and done I can not find a single thing wrong with this figure. It's 100% accurate and blows the Jakks version out of the water. And I actually liked the Jakks version up until I got my hands on this. Hands down the best Andre figure ever made...and I can't see how anyone can top it. 10/10 on this one for sure.
Next we have Daniel Bryan. Much like the Triple H & Cena I got last week, I only picked up this figure for the Michael Cole parts. I really had no urge to buy it for the figure itself so if anyone wants the figure i have it on eBay now minus the shirt & Cole parts. But even though I didn't want it, overall the figure is a solid figure. It has the same body as his Elite 12 figure which is perfect for him. The attire is somewhat boring compared to his Elite 12 figure but still pretty neat for what it is. The attire is 100% accurate down to the design on the back of the boots. This figure also features the 3rd head scan already for Bryan in just his 4th figure. It's a good scan but I'm going to say the worst of the 3 we've had so far. His first elite scan is my favorite and I actually like his basic scan better as well. But for a more serious looking Bryan this head is still pretty good. I'm just not a huge fan of it compared to his other ones. The shirt is also I great addition and I'm really loving the new material they are using to make them. They fit the figure nice and tight so they don't look too big when you have them on the figure. It now looks great on my Target exclusive basic figure. So overall the figure is solid...but not nearly as good as his Elite 12 figure. The attire isn't as flashy and the scan isn't as good. But for those that can't find the Elite 12 version I would say this is still a great choice for an Elite style Bryan and you probably wouldn't be disappointed. 7/10
Finally here are some pics of the Cole parts I have so far both apart and put together. I also am including a picture of my painted Tag Title belts that I'm currently working on. The belt is actually painted 2 different colors as the background is more of a gold color compared to the bronze color I used on the raised parts of the belt. The top one is completed and obviously the bottom one is what it looked like before I painted it. Still have to finish the 2nd one but the first one looks 100x better now that it is painted that's for sure. I'll post pics of both on figures once I complete the 2nd one.
