They are action figures meant to be played with. Mattelshop.com isn't a bunch of collectors so they really don't care what the package looks like. As long as the figure isn't broken, they don't care.

If a customer has a complaint, a business should take care of it no matter the circumstances.

I ordered a Vickie from them and it arrived last night in perfect condition. It's nice that they are going to replace them for you though.

From a business standpoint, that's a horrible way to think about their product. I understand that what you said really is true, but it isn't how you get people to keep buying things. Even if people are opening the package, if it arrives in extremely damaged packaging, it's associate with an inferior product or a company that doesn't care. Is Little Jimmy going to care about a banged up box? No, but his aunt might want it to look nice when she's wrapping it as his birthday gift.

I've only purchased Steamboat DM from mattel shop and had no trouble. I would've been upset too because I like that one in the package.

Just out of curiosity by holes in the Bret packaging do you mean like actual holes or the cut out oval shapes on the carding? Because if they are the oval shapes on the carding then technically they are supposed to be there. For some reason Mattel has decided to put some of their "vent" holes on the carding of some of the figures instead of the bottom of the bubble like they normally do. Now they don't do it to every figure and actually I've heard of the same exact figure having some in the carding while other don't and have them in the bubble. But the Battle Packs 1 figures I have both had them cut into the carding instead of in the bubble. So if they are the "vent" holes don't be surprised if you get another one with them because they are put there on purpose.

Anytime I've ordered there is a bend card, but I always open them anyway. It's a bit strange that they don't just throw in a bubble of some kind, they are usually loose in the box banging around.

There was a guy on here that reported they had Elite 12, Basic 13, and some of the new 2-Packs at around 4 or 5 AM EST. I was lucky enough to grab one before they sold out, which was only a couple of hours later.

I've only ordered from them once before when they had a deal on Bret DM and Akeem cheap. I put a note in my order saying that I keep my figures in the box for my collection so if they could please make sure the carding etc. is in good shape and pack it well. Arrived perfectly.

Some orders i placed came mint and others came with dented packaging. I'm a loose collector so it doesn't bother me but I feel for all u MOC collectors out there.

My E12 Kane had half his profile picture bent on arrival. I don't collect MOC so I didn't mind, but if I did, that would be a pretty major cosmetic flaw on the packaging. I bent it back up and it looked pretty bad with the creases. So I understand why people would be wary about them if they were MOC collectors.

I don't order and won't order from mattel shop ever. Although RRH HBK is suppose to have air holes on the packaging so thats fine, same with Bret. Some packages they forgot to put airholes at the bottom so they put them on the packaging. Nextly, a "First time in the line" sticker missing is not a damaged product or anything to get heated over. I know where your coming from though. A lot of people on here seem to have rods up there butt about getting everything in perfect shape without a scratch on it. Just remember that they are only toys and are produced in numerous quantities.
