On a recent episode of UFC Tonight this week, GSP stated that he would relinquish his belt for a fight with Nick Diaz as opposed to fighting Condit once he is healthy.
And now we have twitter-word from Cesar Gracie that Condit will fight neither Diaz or GSP this year as things "are being reconsidered."
SO with all that being said, is it wise for GSP to drop his title at a revenge fight with Diaz?
I mean, from a fan perspective, I want to see GSP vs Diaz. But I suppose my real questioning is what if GSP loses? And then perhaps struggles more than people might think after that loss. He's risking his title, and a guaranteed shot at whoever is the interim belt holder once he is healthy.
Personally, I think GSP win or lose would make his way back to the top of the mountain. But it is an interesting thought.
What's your take?

I think GSP would come off looking horrible if he dropped the belt. Thats extremely disrespectful towards Condit. Diaz throws a fit because he lost, & not GSP throws a fit because he can't fight Diaz. The Condit/GSP fight should go on as planned, & if GSP loses, he should fight Diaz (if they are both coming off of losses.) Or have Diaz take one more fight & if he wins have him fight GSP (if still champion.)

I agree, as I also can't see GSP losing to Condit, especially after his performance against Diaz, but would definitely love to see GSP vs Diaz, with the Welterweight title on the line.
