Well, it was on Monday up against a ton of stuff. Fox is the dumbest network, I don't understand their decisions. They always throw shows that can't compete on Monday's and Friday's and wonders why there's a lack of viewership.

It wasn't awful, but it didn't grab me either and I kind of just forgot to watch it after a couple of weeks. Always sucks to hear something was canceled, but I'm not really surprised. Shame though, I was hoping we'd get another Dinosaur fad like we got in the late 80s through the mid 90s

That sorta sucks.
I tried it out and was sticking with it it just never did well enough to warrant a second season.
Oh well at least I got Revenge and hopefully Awake as surviving rookie shows.

Reminded me of Stargate sg1. Like there is only single episode problems that are resolved by the end of the episode, and at the end the family is all hugging and smiling. Could have been so much better. The concept was great, I just wished it was told more like the walking dead is told.

I was so excited for this last May when they started hyping it. But after the first episode, I was horribly disappointed. I mean, I watched it the whole way through, but it was so cheesy. The characters where just your classic TV stereotypes (rebel son, smart but awkward daughter). I knew it wouldn't last.

I was disappointed with it too, but I watched each week. Giving it only a year is just bad business.

Im not suprised.I thought it was very bland and honestly it was a great premise... but the showrunners didnt know what to do with it IMO.

I never saw the show. I did see the commercials though. In the commercials it looked like a cheap version of Jurasic Park. That alone made me think the show wouldnt succeed. Jurasic park was made specifically for a movie going audience so the pay off to the dinosaurs was immediate. Where as with a tv show theres only so much that can be done before it gets old, or repetitious, or just too far fetched to be enjoyable.
It just seemed to me like the show was neither going to please fans of jurassic park or fans of scifi tv shows. Kinda like it was stuck inbetween two genres. Sort of like when you see a restaurant that claims to serve both Mexican food and Pizza, you know that the chances are neither of the two will be very good.

It looked pretty cool but admittedly I never even got around to checking it out. Same here. I had to decide whether to watch Monday Night Raw or Terra Nova because they were on at the same time

I know there is a ton of people who watched 10 minutes of this show and were experts on it after watching those 10 minutes and they decided that it was terrible, but I loved this show I was really hopeful that there would be another series hopefully someone else will pick this up.

This is the last SciFi/Drama I will ever watch on TV again (which I did say when Terra-Nova started as I knew it would be canceled after a season or two). The only other one that I currently watch is Walking Dead. Every show that I watch and get deeply into, investing my valuable time gets canceled without proper closure and I am sick of it. I refuse to invest my time into any other show and there's a few that look good. The only one that seemed to have lasted and had proper closure was lost. I just don't get the attraction of stupid pointless reality shows over intelligent, dramatic cool sci-fi dramas.
