In different eras we've had the no.1 guy, and the no.2 guy, 80's it was hogan and savage. Late 90's/early 00's we had rock and Austin. In your opinion, who are the two top right now? The two that get the type of reaction the Austin and rock could get when they would face? About a year ago I would have said Orton and Cena. But the tides turned and I think that punk has taken that spot from Orton. So as of right now I think that punk and cena are the two top dogs in the business. Opinions?

I would agree that Cena and Punk are the top two guys right now in the WWE.I would also put Orton,Jericho,Mysterio and depending on he gets book over these next few month Sheamus close to their level. Those guys in my eyes are clear cut top stars over the rest of the roster.

Cena and right now, Punk, but it's a tough battle between him and Orton, they've definatly been the faces of this era of WWE. There was also a time when Brock Lesnar was the face of WWE, I'd even include a spot where it was pretty much a battle between Cena, Orton and Batista.

Punk and Cena are the top 2 with Orton coming in a very, very close 3rd.

Cena and Orton.
Punk is getting close, but he'll need to stay on top longer to beat out Orton.

1. Cena 2. Punk 3. Orton 4. Jericho 5. Mysterio 6. Big Show 7. Kane 8. Sheamus 9. The Miz 10.Christian
The #10 spot could go to Henry or Del Rio depending how you look at it. Had to leave Taker & Trips out.

( I won't include the Undertaker or The Rock or Mysterio due to his absense) 1. Cena 2. Punk 3. Orton 4. HHH (still) 5.Sheamus 6. Jericho 7. Del Rio 8. Bryan 9. Miz 10.Mark Henry/Kane/Big Show/Christian Then the tier below is pretty much a tie between Ziggler/Ryder/Kofi/Rhodes/R-Truth/Wade

John Cena and Randy Orton. I'd love to put Punk there but I think it's pretty clearly Orton and Cena.

Cena for sure. Toss up between Orton and Punk. At the moment Punk has the momentum.

John Cena and CM Punk.
Randy Orton has been a background player for quite a while now. CM Punk had one of the single greatest years I've seen any wrestler have in my time as a fan. He's well-versed in every aspect of his craft, and he's arguably the most popular guy in the company right now.
Not to mention, Punk has crossover appeal in pop culture, much like John Cena.
On significantly smaller scales, if we were to compare the current landscape to the late 90's/early 2000's, I'd say John Cena is your Rock, CM Punk is your Stone Cold, and Randy Orton is the equivalent of a Triple H type.
