Have any of you guys ever had vertigo? I missed all last week of work, and I went back yesterday only to have it occur again. So I'm now stuck home with a relapse. I am seeing a specialist on Friday (soonest appointment) and hope to get a final answer on what is causing this to come back. For example:
March 17th- Migraine headache occurs. Feel dizzy at night.
March 18th- Wake up, feel good and work.
March 19th- Wake up, fall down walking to the bathroom. Felt dizzy as ever and went back to bed.
March 23- 26- felt great again.
March 27th- Woke up, dizzy again. Couldn't go to work.
This is an odd pattern. Has anyone ever had this and had to have anything done to correct it? On top of all that, from March 9th-14th I had the FLU. So all of March has been hideous to be honest. I hope i can get better for Wrestlemania. When I tell you watching TV is the hardest, ohhhh man do I mean it. I can't focus longer than 10 seconds.

Sorry to say but never, maybe you should see a doctor or the next big thing what I do whenever I feel dizzy or have headaches is I fill a big bucket of water then I take 10-20 cases of pickles with its pickle juice, fill it up and dunk my head in for some periods of time.

Sounds like an inner ear problem of some kind. Given the time of year I'm going with ear infection/sinus infection.

Due to my post-concussion syndrome, I'm prone to dizziness. I've been to physical therapy for it, one of the easiest ways I can tell you to regain balance, is stand on a pillow or couch cushion with your arms at your side, eyes closed for 30 seconds (It's best if someone is spotting you)..It sounds easy, but its difficult as HELL to do if you have balance issues, and by doing this, it actually improves your balance.

I had vertigo for about 2 weeks when I was younger I couldn't stand up straight and kept vomitting from the dizziness but eventually it just went away so I don't know it may need to be something you just wait out

My dad used to get it in the middle of the night and thought he was dying. He's a heart patient.
The doc actually diagnosed him with vertigo. Not fun stuff. He doesn't get it nearly as often anymore. Sometimes in the middle of the night and once while we were setting up our flagpole and he was looking straight up into the air for a period of time.

I woke up one day feeling dizy as can be. I thought I was just tired from being on the road so much, so I drank some coffee and went to work. I drove my run and it only got worse (thank god I didnt get into an accident). I thought I had high blood presure or something so trying to diagnose myself I went to a Walmart and put my arm in one of those machines by the pharmacy........ It told me I had a really high blood presure so I was scared enough to go to a doctor.
( Which BTW if you have insurance ALWAYS use it no matter what) The Doc took my blood presure and I was fine. ( Turns out my Arms/Biceps are too big for regular machines to take an accurate reading [FIRE POWER])
I told the Doc I was feeling very dizzy and after a few questions he diagnosed me with Vertigo. (not something I share very often) It is an inner ear problem, apparently some little pins....... I forgot the name....... lose sense of which side is up so it feels like everything is spinning even if you are standing in place.
If you feel you have vertigo or know you have it you can take over the counter medication. There are pills called Bonnie, or just look for motion sickness pills. This should help. Unless you have a much more advance case of Vertigo. In that case you might need surgery to correct the problem. Also you can do excersizes to help you. Just SLOWLY nod your head up and down, and then from side to side.... the key is to go slowly. This will help your lobes recenter and take some of the dizzyness away.
I was told Vertigo usually comes from too much stress, anxiousness, nervousness, lack of sleep, or damage to your lobes. In my case it was from not sleeping enough. Every time I try to go a day or two with no sleep it messes me up.
Hope this helps, sorry for the long story.
