Thats not that crazy.. They cost about $20 here in the states for 2 packs so $8 is not a lot really. I was expecting to see like $60 when i read your subject.

Figures outside of the USA will always be priced higher so it's best to not compare it to USA prices but to like eBay or something else instead. That price is like buying it from an online store with shipping.
Life isn't always fair.

International price generally always charge a lot more because of the likelihood of those specific figures coming in stock in that country etc. It's always a bit annoying that you see something you would really want to buy, but your dissatisfied or don't agree with this price. It happens to me occasionally, but maybe you can catch it on sale sometime over there. Sorry to hear that though

Hawaii is part of the U.S. and so is Alaska but shipping anything in or out of those states will cost you a bundle. There are added costs of living on an island and no one owes you a thing for living where you do. I mean I live out in Utah where there isn't a hardcore wrestling fanbase and yet I still have to pay a jacked up price to get the figures I really want. Hobbies don't come cheap. While I agree that $30 is a bit much for the average collector I think that living on an island you would expect things to cost more that are not produced there. It works the same for someone in the U.S. trying to import something from Puerto Rico. The price may not be the greatest but it is justified.

I guess get use to it man especially living outside the USA. Mattel is a very popular in demand, highly detailed action figure that everyone wants there hands on. There going to cost at least $20-$50 for a 2 pack of figs these days. I pay $40 sometimes for figs online when i want them bad enough in my collection (i.e Goldust, Zack Ryder) but on average i pay at least $25 per figure. Jakks was very cheap and lacked on articulation, detail, accessories, twice as many ppl today collect Mattel's more than they did Jakks so these figures can get pricey. The only way your going to get cheap figures is take a risk buying from sketchy dealers on ebay from time to time and shopping on there, looking for the cheapest price your bound to find a lot of scammers with low seller ratings.

That is not a bad price at all. The scalper at the local flea market has outragous prices. He wants $30.00 for a Basic 3 Chris Jericho.

I used to live in Florida. Thankfully out here in Utah there are alot of farmers and we get our milk for under $2.50 a gallon now. I just don't see how anyone can complain over $30 for two figures when the basic figures in stores are $13-$15 each. I mean $30 seems like a good price even if you are living on an island.

The only way your going to get cheap figures is take a risk buying from sketchy dealers on ebay from time to time and shopping on there, looking for the cheapest price your bound to find a lot of scammers with low seller ratings. Jakks figures were great and they had alot of wrestlers that had never been produced before. However their earlier stuff was garbage. Mattel is MUCH better both in detail and quality. They are produced by a company that has MUCH more money to spend to make the best product possible as well as money for advertising. The best way to get figures cheaply is to make friends with the stockroom workers and the managers at your local toy shop and to pool your money with other collectors. You can have the stockroom guys and gals go through the cases and pick you out the mint boxes and hard to find stuff and then you get your friends to pool their money with you and then you wait for a buy one get one free sale and on top of that you make friends with the manager who can buy the figures for you and let you use their discount. Sneaky and blatantly rude to the other collectors in your area but if there are some real scalpers in your area who are out to purchase and resell so that the true collectors can't get the figures off of the shelves anyway then that would be the way to go.
