WWE Fatal Four Way 6/20/10; Live from Nassau Coliseum in Long Island, New York Before the event goes live, an opening video package is played. It features all eight participants in the respective World Heavyweight and WWE Championship fatal four way matches. While it shows these images, states appear on the screen; such as the chance a champion has at retaining his or her championship. It transpires to hype up the World Heavyweight Championship match, where Kane’s voice is suddenly heard. He claims vengeance for his brother, and it shows him convicting all the participants in the title match of assaulting his brother. The video starts to hype up the WWE title match as well, but suddenly the screen starts to frizzle. Eventually we see clips of the eight NXT rookies destroying John Cena. The package ends with the rookies standing tall over the WWE Champion.
'‘Showstopper’' by Toby Mac blasts over the arena as ‘WWE PRESENTED IN HD’ flashes across the screen. We are greeted by Michael Cole, Jerry ‘the King’ Lawler, and Matt Striker. They welcome us to the first ever Fatal Four Way, and Cole begins to hype up our main event; John Cena defending the WWE Championship against Sheamus, Edge, and Randy Orton. Striker then brings up the World Heavyweight Championship contest, which will pit Jack Swagger against the Big Show, CM Punk, and Rey Mysterio. Jerry Lawler then mentions how tonight Mr. McMahon himself is going to address the NXT rookies; and he’s going to do it next!
Mr. McMahon comes out to the stage to heat from the crowd. McMahon first brings up that the RAW General Manager, Bret Hart, could not be here tonight due to the assault from the NXT rookies this past Monday Night on RAW. He says realizes those eight gentlemen wanted their answer from Bret regarding their contracts tonight, but that will have to wait for a later date. He assures everybody he is currently working with Bret’s representatives about the situation at hand. He also goes on to say Bret Hart will in fact resume as active RAW General Manager soon. Vince mentions extra security personal is here tonight for this event to assure Wade Barrett and his group do not disrupt tonight’s event, specifically the WWE Championship contest. Vince says he hopes everyone will enjoy the show tonight, before announcing our first contest will be for the Intercontinental Championship! With Kofi still hanging there, the challenger goes on to the apron and kicks his shoulder right into the ring post again! Kofi falls back in the ring, clutching his arm. As he gets back in the ring, Drew locks in the armbar before slamming it against the mat a few times; hoping to injure it further. The referee tries to pry McIntyre off, but the challenger won’t budge. The ref resorts to force to yank him off, angering Drew. They two engage in an argument, until Kingston gets back up. He sets up for the Trouble in Paradise, but as Drew turns around, he ducks it and Kofi knocks out the referee! He is stunned by this, and once he turns around, he his nailed by yet another boot the face. With everyone down, Drew goes to the outside and he grabs a chair. Upon returning to the ring, he cracks Kofi in the back with it! Drew measures for another shot, but this time Smackdown General Manager Theodore Long runs out! Not John Cena, not Sheamus, not the NXT rookies, and not even Randy Orton. The WWE championship. He mentions how Randy Orton said no one could stop him from winning the title tonight, well, he’s wrong. Swagger gets up and blocks his path, Mysterio impatiently asking what he wants. Swagger, with a cocky smile, tells Mysterio there’s no point of him even going out there tonight. He says everyone already knows he is going to retain his title once again. And someone like you, who’s about the smallest guy on the roster; has no chance against someone like himself or even the Big Show! Mysterio tells Swagger he can keep telling himself that after he beats him for the World Heavyweight Championship tonight. Rey walks right past him after the remark, leaving Swagger angered.

The two agreed to work together, but suddenly Punk rolled Jack up! The champ was able to kick out and he got right in Punk’s face. They couldn’t come to blows, though, as Mysterio went right off the ropes and hit a double cross body! All three men were down as Big Show pulled Swagger out from the right. He grabbed him by the throat and was setting up for the chokeslam, but Punk then dived off the apron looking for an axe handle; only to get caught by the throat as well! Big Show had them set for a chokeslam, but they escape and pushed him into the ring post. Just then, Swagger hit Punk with a hard German suplex on the floor! The crowd popped as the S.E.S. was terrified in the ring, the monster coming after Punk! Gallows went right after him, only to receive an uppercut. Suddenly, Kane appears from a door right next to Punk. He looks up in horror before running again; ‘the Big Red Monster’ in pursuit. Eventually Punk is able to make his way out of the building and into the parking lot. We see Luke Gallows waiting for him in a car and he hops in the back. Luke drives away leaving Kane in the parking lot. Kane looks irate before laughing sadistically.
Todd Grisham is standing by with ‘the Celtic Warrior’ Sheamus. Todd asks Sheamus about the WWE Championship fatal four way tonight, and his possible chance at regaining his title. Sheamus says a lot of people may be under looking him in this match, but fella; they did the same thing when he faced John Cena at TLC. Sheamus asks “do you know what happened?” Only to answer it himself, saying he put him through a table and won the WWE Championship. He continues on saying tonight he’ll kick everybody in the head tonight, and he will become a two time WWE Champion. Sheamus walks off the set as we get ready for our next match.
WWE United States Championship: The Miz© vs. R-Truth; As the match begins Miz and R-Truth face off in the ring, Miz talking trash to Truth. The challenger comes flying into the corner with a huge clothesline. Truth sets up him on the top before hammering him with a hard right. He climbs up, but Miz palms him and rocks him with a right. Truth wobbles and Miz looks to take advantage, but he regains his balance and smacks Miz across the face. Now he hooks Miz’s arm and hits a huge superplex! The crowd pops as he goes for a cover, but the United States Champion kicks out at two. Truth has a look of disappointment on his face, but shakes it off and sizes Miz up for the lie detector. He goes for it, but Miz ducks and hooks the arms for the Skull Crunching Finale! Truth elbows him in the head and fights him off, following it up with a kick to the stomach. He goes off the ropes and the Axe Kick connects! He covers Miz again, but this time Miz plops his foot on the rope. He hooks the leg and the ref makes the cover. Winner and STILL WWE United States Champion: The Miz

David Hart takes the microphone and says up next they will be dedicating their match against the Uso brothers to Bret; and they will win in his honor. Tyson Kidd takes the microphone next and mentions how ever since they jumped them from behind a few weeks on RAW, they’ve been looking forward to this. He says they’ll be sure to make Bret proud as they retain their tag titles tonight. Savannah thanks them before the trio leaves for the tag match.
Jerry ‘the King’ Lawler, Matt Striker, and Michael Cole all mention what a great night it’s been so far and they remind us to join them on pay per view again next month for the first ever Money in the Bank. Live on pay per view, Sunday July 18th.
WWE Unified Tag Team Championships: The Hart Dynasty©w/Natalya vs. The Usosw/Tamina; The match kicks off with Tyson Kidd and Jey Uso. Jey follows it up with a splash before dragging Kidd into his corner, tagging in Jimmy. The pair hits a double back elbow and they follow it up with a double elbow, Jimmy making the cover for a two count. Jimmy has Tyson under control for a moment, but the champion soon fights back and the two go back and forth; Kidd eventually getting the advantage with an enziguri. He tags in David Hart who comes out on fire, hitting a harsh clothesline on Jimmy. As he gets back up, Smith hits a military press slam thrusting the Uso brother into the mat. He bounces back up, allowing the champ to toss him into the corner and then ram him right back into it. After some more back and forth action between the two teams, it comes down to DH Smith and Jey Uso in the ring. Jey ducks a clothesline from Smith, which sends him into the corner, and Jey follows it up with a huge uppercut. As DH falls to the mat, Jey ascends to the top and comes crashing down with a huge diving head butt! He covers, but Smith powers out. Jey kicks him in the head one more time before tagging in his brother. The Usos whip him into the ropes, but he comes back strong with a double clothesline. He grabs Jey and tosses him outside of the ring, forgetting about the legal man Jimmy, who nails the superkick! He covers again, but somehow the champ kicks out. Jimmy starts to climb up the turnbuckles, but David grabs him from behind and lifts him up on his shoulders, only to drive him down with a huge power slam! The two end up brawling and they make their way to the outside. David Hart Smith follows them, and soon does Jimmy. The respected female managers look worried as all four men are trading shots on the outside, the referee’s count getting up to seven. Soon, Kidd jumps onto the apron and takes everyone out with a huge moonsault! With everyone now out, the ref makes the count to ten, throwing the match out. Winners: Double Count Out
The crowd boos as all four men are out on the floor. They begin to stir as Natalya and Tamina check on them. The crowd pops for Cena and Todd says they’ve heard from everyone else so far tonight; and now it’s his turn to discuss his thoughts on the WWE Championship fatal four way coming up next. Cena smiles and everyone has been running their mouths and talking trash all night. John simply says the NXT rookies isn’t even an issue right now, the only thing that matters is this championship and walking out with it tonight. He says he can’t be all that sure they haven’t gotten into the building already, but they’ll have to beat him unconscious before they can take the WWE title away from him. Cena also mentions having history with all the men in the match tonight, Sheamus, Orton, and Edge. He says he’s beaten all of them, and they all have beaten him. But tonight we’re going to throw them all in the ring at the same time and he’s going to run right through all three of them just so he can proclaim one phrase tomorrow night on RAW. He goes for the Irish Curse, but Edge slips out and throws him into the corner before following it up with a big boot. He now goes for the Edgecution, but Sheamus slips out and hits him from behind. The two trade strikes, but suddenly Cena comes after them with a double shoulder block! He takes Sheamus out of the ring with a bulldog and then grabs Edge hitting a back suplex. Edge is down in the middle of the ring as Cena sets up for the Five Knuckle Shuffle. Orton is back up, though, and he throws Cena through the middle rope before snapping the neck with the hangman’s DDT. Before he can take further action, Edge takes both himself and Orton out of the ring with a clothesline. When they get back up Orton is in control and he smacks Edge’s head against the announce table before ripping it apart. He tosses Edge up there and soon climbs up himself. He pounds his fists down on the surface of the table, waiting for his rival to get up. When he does get up, Orton goes for the RKO, only to be shoved yet again; this time through the Spanish announce table! The crowd pops as Orton is out on the floor. Meanwhile, in the ring, Sheamus is working on Cena in the corner. Edge slips back in the ring and sets up in the corner as the two are trading shots. The crowd pops as Edge is trying his hardest to tap, but with both Sheamus and Orton down, he’s going to need to get out of this himself. Edge crawls closer and closer to the ropes, but Cena is just too strong. Yet, when he’s just about to tap, Sheamus gets back up and dives onto Cena. This breaks up the hold in the process. With Cena now dazed, Sheamus takes the advantage to hit the Irish Curse. He beats his chest and taunts before picking up John and going over to the corner. He sets up for the High Cross, but Randy Orton yanks him from the ring and tosses him into the barrier! He grabs a hold of Sheamus again, this time throwing him into the steel steps. Once again grabbing the Celtic Warrior, Orton tosses him back into the ring and slides in as well. Randy sets up for the RKO, but Edge clubs him from the back and Sheamus nails Orton with the Brogue Kick! Edge slips back into the corner as Cena gets back up and hoists Sheamus up for the Attitude Adjustment! Before he can hit it, however; Wade Barrett appears on the stage! The other seven rookies appear behind him as John drops Sheamus, getting ready to fight them. Edge slips out from the ring and hides under it as the rookies swarm the ring. They attack both Cena and Sheamus, four men on each. They stomp and stomp on both men, suddenly Orton comes to the rescue both pulling out Darren Young and hitting on RKO on the outside! As Wade Barrett hits the Wasteland on Cena, the other members notice Orton and the seven go out to attack him. As they beat on Orton on the outside, Edge slips back into the ring. FatalFourWay: Nice to see Kofi retain in the opening contest here, I'd love to see McIntyre vs. Hardy on Pay Per View if I'm honest, it is a PPV worthy feud, anyway, again nice win for Kingston. Gail Kim winning the Divas Title is something different and I like it, she deserves it too. Evan Bourne over Chris Jericho is fantastic, I loved it in real life too, it is a brilliant way to get Bourne over on PPV and insert him into a feud, potentially, with one of the biggest heels on the roster. Good way to get Jericho's heat back by having him nail Bourne with a Codebreaker. Swagger retaining the in the four way is fantastic, this win makes him look like a strong champion, hopefully you can keep his reign going a little longer to stop him looking pathetic. CM Punk running from Kane is good storyline development if you decide to have the two go at it at Money in the Bank or something. Glad you had Miz retain, Truth doesn't need the title. A Double Countout is an interesting result, I'm not sure if there is enough in this feud to have a clear winner straight away, so fantastic decision, hopefully you can continue to build Jimmy and Jey towards winninf the titles. I love the finish to the WWE Championship Match, Edge was the perfect winner too, much better than Sheamus. I love that all of the rookies look strong too, as Edge was hiding. Great first show, prefered the results to the real-life results though the were somewhat similar in places, looking forward to seeing how you build the Nexus.

WWE Fatal 4-Way: Sunday 20th June 2010...I love the way that this is written, makes me miss 2010, as abysmal this year was in my eyes (past Over the Limit anyway). Nice promo retained from reality with Mr McMahon, liked the idea of Bret Hart returning as RAW General Manager and I look forward to seeing Bret return from his second car accident of 2010. Kofi Kingston and Drew McIntyre starting off the show was the right call, great opening contest to the show, and I liked Kofi retaining the WWE Intercontinental Championship. I will say this, the midcard division in 2010 was so good on SmackDown. What happened. Up next, fair filler with Gail Kim beating Maryse, Alicia Fox and Eve to win the WWE Divas Championship, it's different I guess. Wonder what this leaves Eve from this point on. Evan Bourne with a win against Chris Jericho was a good call, got Evan over greatly, did like Jericho regaining momentum after the match though. I will say this, I believe that there is far too many interview segments as opposed to backstage segments in general. A little overkill in that department. So glad that Jack Swagger retained the World Heavyweight Championship, albeit in a tainted manner against CM Punk, Big Show and Rey Mysterio. I forgot that this was during the time of the terrible "who killed the Undertaker?" angle. It was so bad. Up next, it was pretty much a filler between the two main event fatal four-way matches, but fair defense of the WWE United States Championship by The Miz against R-Truth, but it didn't do a lot for me. I hated R-Truth during this time. Wow, strange place to have the WWE Unified Tag Team Championship match, the Usos were NOT over whatsoever here, and the Hart Dynasty were tanking after the WWE's attempt at getting them over following WrestleMania XXVI. Didn't like the double count-out finish as I feel that the crowd would have sh*t all over the segment, but it does drag out the feud, it's just that this was more of a television-influenced match undeserving of a pay-per-view match. And up last, good fatal four-way main event, not so sure on Edge winning the WWE Championship again, but I'm interested in what the Nexus has against everyone; wouldn't mind an alliance with the Nexus and a certain headlining WWE superstar, personally. Overall, a decent show, but the amount of cheap finishes to the latter half of the show I didn't like so much. Not a lot was different from the actual show either, but I guess this is just the base you are going to work the diary off of.
