I just opened a William Regal figure, and his hand broke off about 2 mins later I got his robe off. Was posing him for a pic. Noticed his left hand (taped fist) seemed odd. It would turn but just didn't feel right. Posed his hand how I wanted it and took the picture. When I turned his hand back to a normal position it just fell off. I've seen ppl do customs and talk about hand swaps before, so I thought.. "Oh i can just pop his hand back in or something". No, its like ripped off from whatever kinda peg thing is in the forearm. I got it from TRU online.....Do I just hafta eat the figure? Or will Mattel or TRU help me out?

Yes. A ton of people have sent them emails due to broken figures in the past and they have always been very helpful and usually send out another one!

If TRU still has them in stock your best bet is to call them. The same happened with my Legends 6 Warrior only it was his ankle. They sent me a new one free of charge. Go through TRU first if they still have it in stock. If not then email Mattel. They won't send you a new Regal though. They will likely make you send it back and send you a voucher where you would then have to hope to find it in stores.

I think every Regal's hand breaks. You literally CANNOT turn them.

I had the same thing happen to my elite Regal. I just superglued it back on and since I only display it's not really a big deal if it doesn't move.

That was actually one of the most infamous problems with that Regal figure. Mattel made the left hand to stiff or something and everyone who goes and turns it real hard as soon as they get it, it breaks. I still have yet to even try to turn mine because i have heard so many other ppl complain about theres breaking so i do not even want to try. Just shoot Mattel an email and tell them what happened and send them the numbers on your box of the figure and they will give you a $12-$19 voucher for it depending on how much you tell them you paid for it.

I have 2 E8 Regal's and their hands are fine. Don't email them you call the cust ser number on the back of the card. They'll ask you a few questions and send you a manufacturer coupon for the cost. They won't send you a figure

How do ppl do hand swaps??? I'm looking in the wrist hold where his hand ripped off.
I assumed it would be like a ball peg or something, its not. It looks like a long thin peg that runs thru the forearm.
Could I get a Basic Regal and switch left hands?

It looks like a long thin peg that runs thru the forearm. Could I get a Basic Regal and switch left hands? You could, but you would have to drill a hole through the existing peg that broke. Then get a screw small enough to fit in the peg, but tight enough that it won't separate from the peg when you pull it out. Heat the area up with a hair dryer to soften the plastic when you pull out the screwed peg with pliers. Even easier, just switch arms using the heat method. Mattel figures just do this sometimes. I bought 3 DCUC Batman Beyond figures where the left legs did the same thing. I eventually learned that if a DCUC has problems with the legs moving to just split the pelvis, and sand down the area with the peg rests in the inner mold of the pelvis. It is a shame we have to do this with some of our figures, especially when they are nearly $20 each

If the basic Regal left hand is the same as Elite, just soak the arm from the bicep down in hot water and pull it off and just swap them. If the peg is still hanging out of the wrist socket you could heat that up and get some needle nose pliers and yank it out.

just called. The chick couldnt have been any nicer on the phone. She's sending me a voucher in the mail that might be the nicest, quickest....easiest customer service i've ever experienced. only downside is the vouchers for $16. And Elites are $17.99 round my way. And the only thing at my stores are Elite 12 Del Rio, Orton, Papa Shango & Justin Gabriels.
