When I heard Brock and The Rock resigned on a minimum schedule it appears that would be a great idea on the oart of WWE since we can get some of the older guys in on a light schedule, we still get to see them in action and if either decided to go ahead and not show up the other can technically take their place on Raw/Smackdown. Given its a lighter schedule on both of them it makes sense. I mean they could sign a lot of Former WWE stars the same way right? Rotating them into a small storyline for a year so its spans out the story out a tad more into Mania.

Who else could you do that with before it becomes irritating that half the current rosters storylines are with guys that arent even there every week. How would you build tension if promos were only cut via satelite?

I agree it's good that they're back, but It shoudn't be at the expense of the current roster because they are the future. You have to strike a balance.

They only do this for huge stars who don't want to work full time. HBK, Undertaker, Rock, and now Lesnar. There aren't a lot of people left who have that type of status, besides Austin and Kurt Angle.

This isn't really them thinking smarter. Hopefully their currents stars don't take too much of a backseat to people like Brock and The Rock. It'll them over in the long run. This year is Dolph Ziggler's and Cody Rhodes year. I would have included Barrett in there, but he is injured until August. Lesnar better put somebody over this year.

it's "smart" from wwe but it's also because they have no choice if they want to sign them since none of those guys are willing to become full timers again, and none NEED the wwe or the money so the way i see it is vince realizing his young guys aren't "wrestlemania-over" yet by a long shot ( he even admitted it in a recent meeting i read in an article) and wwe needed more legitimate star power. guys like barret, cody,ziggler...are well & good but it's not as if they're going to fill wrestlemania stadiums just yet.
So basicly brock and rock could walk into the office and demand what they want, vince probably signed the agreement before he even knew what they wanted because he's thrilled to have them back.
That said, while it are old stars, they can still perform like the best. unlinke tna who sign hogans and flairs, as much as i like them i think wwe is a lot smarter by signing "legends" who can still actually perform in a ring.
if i had to pick who else i'd like to see again in wwe with lighter shedules, nr one pick is kurt angle, specially now brock is back i'd give anything to see them go at it again at the big stage, angle in tna never felt right and i don't want him to end his legendary career there, to me, no matter how many years he's been in tna now, angle = wwe period. and if he gets a light shedule i'm sure he could still pull out amazing matches at big ppv events like wrestlemania because his body wouldn't be so wrecked all the time like his last wwe run.
other names would be stone cold and goldberg. in the case of goldberg, i'd say if he ever wants to make another one last great splash in the wrestling world it's now or never and he wouldn't feel at place in tna either. he's not getting any younger but i think he's still in good shape and even to this day he is a very reckognizable star,he's not over the hill just yet but imo it's either never wrestle again which would be a terrible shame,or put out his fire with vince and try to get one last rocket ride of fame before he hangs'em up.
Also batista, same reason as goldberg...

Plus, anything involving Lesnar and Angle is gold.
