Well, as the author of this post, here's what I have in mind....and I already posted a previous post about every detail I would want in this new scale which I will bring back later... I'm just thinking MAYBE everyone would be happy with it because it may have room for the entire roster plus legends...because...they would be cheaper than we're paying for elites and basics now thus they might sell better at retail which would mean we would get more of them, and I'm just picturing like a GI Joe type figure with every accessory making them complete figures to buy and collect. More detail to come later with what I've got in mind. They would be cheaper, and they would make more room to collect more since they would be smaller, and 3 3/4" isn't too small to detail the suckers out, or their accessories/rings. Look at the star wars figures like that, they're phenomenal. I just think it would be perfect for someone like me who has done this my entire life, and has limited space and limited cash. Not to replace the standard elites and basics we all do get today, but I just think it would be cool and maybe we could even get names such as The Gobbeldy Gooker, Superstar Billy Graham, Sunny, The Briscoes, Bruno Sammartino, names from way back and the names that Mattel has said they won't make because they won't sell. If they were done right and were cheap enough, I bet they would. That's just my opinion guys. Btw, I hate the rumblers and flexforce crap too. The reason why the rumblers are selling so well is bc they're making most of the roster and they're cheaper to collect, and honestly the accessories are pretty cool too, not that I buy them bc I don't. I agree that this could open possibilities. If Jakks were able to take their Deluxe figures and shrink them down and call them Build 'n Brawlers I don't see why Mattel can't make smaller Elite figures at an $8.99 price range like the rest of the 3 3/4" figures out there. But Mattel's track record for 3 3/4" figures isn't that good. Their DC Infinite heroes were awful to start, then they gradually got better, then the line was dropped. Then they made the Green Lantern movie toys. Nice figures... If it were 1993. I get that then not having the high articulation of a Marvel Universe or G.I. Joe made them cheaper for the consumer but in then end they didn't do well (Granted the movie kinda flopped so that is a reason) and now I can get an army's worth for $3 each at Five Below. Now Matty has 3 3/4" Voltron figures and for $15 a wack they leave alot to be desired. If they execute the small scale correctly they can be a big seller. This would mean making them at the same quality as an Elite, giving a mix of wrestlers from the past and present, and finally making arena setups that are worth while because it can be cheaper to execute. I wouldn't mind seeing and ESR at a smaller scale hell make whole arena too. The thing is I have little to no faith in Mattel in the 3 3/4" market so I expect the worst.

Key words: IF DONE RIGHT. If they don't do this right and they wind up like the figs they've done like that in the past, then it would be a waste just like rumblers and flexforce are. I, as a collector, just want completion and accuracy. Sometimes, I miss Jakks because they had the Classic Superstar line that nearly saw everybody, and I mean EVERYBODY, and it went on and on and on, Jakks did what us fans asked or at least really tried to. The only problem w/ Jakks was the figures were never in scale, that was their only problem. I just think that my model for what this scale should be would be awesome. May be just me though. Oh, and the reason I said it seems there is a general tiredness is bc every day I'm on here and I see somebody post they they're done collecting and a lot of whining and complaining. I feel that too. We lifelong fans and collectors want as close to if not perfection in every aspect of it. Besides, it's never been done before, not what I'm talking about anyway.

I wouldn't mind another scale, more to collect.

the only thing a new scale is saving is my bank account im perfectly happy with my collection consisting of Basics & Elites. If Mattel got it's distribution figured out to where retail stores got new sets on a more consistent basis...and every retailer got the same sets at least once....thats all i need. Quoted for truth. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a 6" scale figure. I was very unhappy when Hasbro decided to take the Marvel Legends line and go to the smaller 3 3/4" scale of the Marvel Universe. Stick with what is working but tighten up the distribution is all that needs done here.

Even if Mattel unveiled a smaller, cheaper scale I probably wouldn't buy it. I was never a fan of the Build N Brawl series that Jakks tried. In the same respect, Rumblers are pretty cool but they're not for me.

*Reason being in Australia we do not get Elite figures in our stores anymore because Mattel Australia thinks more people rather Rumblers over Elites....WTF?? Yeah, 60 Cena Rumblers, No Basic, 30 Flexforces, 1 Elite

I'm not really interested in smaller scale figures on their own, but the possibilities as far as accessories and playsets do interest me. While I'm not a big Rumblers fan, I do like how many different and imaginative playsets and such that Mattel has made for them, so seeing what they could do on that scale, but more realistic and adult could be really cool.

I remember seeing a Mattel Q & A session stating they have no intention of making 3.75" figures that can compete with Hasbro (G.I. Joe, Marvel Universe, Star Wars). If this is the scale of the new figures, expect very limited articulation.
