Sounds like that's not gonna mean jack. says her lawyer. Plenty of loop holes, I've seen that first hand during my fathers best friends very nasty divorce. The reality of it is the court is always going to side with women for some stupid reason when it comes to divorces. Luckily though I don't think there are kids involved so it shouldn't get to nasty.

Um. M.C Hammer (bankrupt), skater Dorothy Hamill (bankrupt), Redd Foxx (IRS came in and seized just about everything), etc, etc. There are plenty of examples of big stars. According to statistics , within 2 years out of the NFL, NFL players wind up broke. Terrell Owens is a perfect example. Why do you think he is STILL trying to get back in the NFL? So, even though all this comes from a dirt sheet and a gossip site, don't be so sure there may be a grain of truth. PWInsider reported the story about Cena dealing with the lien on his house also. I am not saying that I believe the article, but I am just saying it is not out of the realm of possibility. M.C Hammer was a one hit wonder so thats not suprising at all and as for the other two I have no clue who they are so they were either before my time or I just never payed attention to anything about them. But the T.O example I wouldnt really say is a good one. Im sure there is a HUGE difference between the way guy with T.O's ego and mindset spends money in contrast to a guy like Cena who other then Cars probably doesnt spend money in excess at all. Add in the fact that he probably makes more money on a monthly basis then most people make in a year im pretty sure the guys not having money troubles. Now if his wive Linda Hogan's him then we have a completely different story MC was a one hit wonder, but blew through $33 million dollars in about a year and a half in the early 90s. That's some serious dough. Mike Tyson declared bankruptcy, and has earned over $300 million in his fight career. Athletes go broke all the time because they spend money on stupid chit. We don't know what Cena's spending habits are, and more importantly, his wife's spending habits. Cena works his balls off, maybe he came home and found out wifey was spending a load of cash, and not paying off the bills.

I doubt he has money issues, but if he does we will have to say Cena is closer to being this generation's Flair instead of Hogan.

I really doubt that the biggest star in the WWE is having financial issues....... Um. Cena is active and as marketable as ever.

Cena is never home, my guess is his wife did not take care of things at home while he was on the road earning thier living, which could be why contractors and roofers were not paid.
Then again, people tend to live above thier means, but those two instances do not scream financial difficulty, maybe he was not satisfied with the work, property liens are what keep contractors from getting stiffed.

If he paid off the $15 million one he's fine. The $110 k one isn't too bad considering his salary. The biggest money problems typically come from the divorce itself but I do feel like I read something a bit back about a pre-nup so if he signed that, kudos for forethought.

Looks like Cena couldn't handle his (ex) wife's demand for more than 5 rooms of doom

I doubt he's having financial trouble. Even if there was a problem I'm sure the WWE would help him out.

Just because there is a lien on the house, doesn't mean he CAN'T pay it, it would just mean that he HASN'T paid it. A lot of times this happens if a contracter or builder does work that is faulty, or that you do not approve of, and you refuse to pay their asking price, or if you cancel the contract once they start. The lien is just the builders way of forcing the issue to try and force you to pay, and start the court process as they intend to sue.

Honestly this is prob all below Cena. The guy is on the road almost 300 if not 300 days a year. You think he's signing checks? I am sure he has people to do all that and something happened where he wasn't happy, the contractor didn't do te right thing and he just didn't get paid so he put the lien.

Not to mention it's not exactly difficult to find an unethical contractor. With some of these guys if they sense you have money it's like blood in the water. What was originally an agreed upon 6 week, $10,000 project becomes a 6 month $90,000 project, it can be sickening the amount of money some contractors can bleed people for.
