From WrestleNewz.com
TMZ is reporting that the house that John Cena was living in with his wife Liz Huberdeau is the main reason for their divorce. TMZ says the house, which the couple was remodeling, was sending them to the poor house and the courthouse. It was noted before that Cena blamed the divorce on the remodel, claiming it caused an unbearable strife between them. TMZ now has documents that show one of the contractors filed a lien on the house for $110,000, claiming the Cena’s didn’t pay him for his work. Back a few months ago, TMZ revealed a lien on Cena’s home for $15,214.92 from a roofing company. Cena paid off the tax debt and the lien was lifted.
If that is true, sounds like Cena is not doing too well at the moment.

I really doubt that the biggest star in the WWE is having financial issues....... Um. M.C Hammer (bankrupt), skater Dorothy Hamill (bankrupt), Redd Foxx (IRS came in and seized just about everything), etc, etc. There are plenty of examples of big stars. According to statistics , within 2 years out of the NFL, NFL players wind up broke. Terrell Owens is a perfect example. Why do you think he is STILL trying to get back in the NFL? So, even though all this comes from a dirt sheet and a gossip site, don't be so sure there may be a grain of truth. PWInsider reported the story about Cena dealing with the lien on his house also. I am not saying that I believe the article, but I am just saying it is not out of the realm of possibility.

Cena may be refusing to pay any more into the house if he having issues with the wife...might be his way of taking a stand against her.
Either way, money issues or not, it's not my business.

i really can't see Cena having any type of financial issues....so i'm thinking this is a stick it to the ex kind of thing. the dude has done a ton of movies, makes more money then anyone else in the wwe both salary wise and merch wise, had a cd come out that people ate up cuz of who he is, ect ect ect. there's no way he can't afford to pay a roofer $15k lol

I've never understood why wrestlers buy these big houses when they aren't even home most of the year. But I doubt he is having too much trouble with money. The guys is probably making a couple million a year from his salary and not to mention what he makes from licensing deals, endorsements, movies, etc. Although he does have a big car collection but I doubt that it's big enough for him to not afford his house. I hope it's not a true story and it wouldn't surprise me one bit if it wasn't. He seems like a smart enough guy to realize he needs to save his money so he doesn't have to wrestle into his 100s like Ric Flair or Hulk Hogan(although that was out of his power).

M.C Hammer was a one hit wonder so thats not suprising at all and as for the other two I have no clue who they are so they were either before my time or I just never payed attention to anything about them. But the T.O example I wouldnt really say is a good one. Im sure there is a HUGE difference between the way guy with T.O's ego and mindset spends money in contrast to a guy like Cena who other then Cars probably doesnt spend money in excess at all. Add in the fact that he probably makes more money on a monthly basis then most people make in a year im pretty sure the guys not having money troubles. Now if his wive Linda Hogan's him then we have a completely different story

His wife seems like a prick I'm curious to why. I haven't seen anything that would give me an opinion of her either way.

Sure, it's big money, but the dude makes big money and won't stop making big money. He will be just fine. Just have to spend it wisely and watch out for the ex-wife.
