The only decent thing that EA MMA had was the grappling, which THQ more or else replicated with it's "easier controls" on UFC Undisputed 3. I still own EA MMA, and I will say this. The EA UFC franchise will suck balls if they don't fix the striking. I mean complete overhaul.
I'm sure the game will look nice, and have all the lovely presentations you could ask for. That being said, here's to hoping it doesn't become the next Madden where they just add a new lackluster feature each year and don't actually make the game better.
UFC Undisputed 2010 was a whole other game compared to UFC Undisptued. And I feel that Undisputed 3 also feels the same way. So EA has had the bar set pretty high for them.
EA MMA was rough around the edges, but I thought it was pretty solid for a rookie franchise and could have evolved into something special if it had the chance. While I'm not thrilled to see the UFC series jump ship, I don't think it'll be a huge disaster like some of you expect it to be.
