I've been applying at wal-mart for 2 years now, and the questionair never comes up. I have talked to them and they 1. told me i have failed it the last time i took it. but it never gives it to me to re take. and they told me it should show up at 6 months to 1 year after i applied previously, but it never has. and 2. I talked to 3 hr reps at the store and they say there is nothing they can do about it and that i just have to wait. which I have. and they told me there is no written test i can take to redo it. anybody else know what i can do about this?

Walmart is shady anyways, I wouldn't wanna work there.
To answer, I don't think there is. It's a system malfunction, nothing you can do, and nothing the [generally] sh*t employees of Walmart can [or will] do.

Walmart is not the only place ive been applying...and its not that i WANT to work there. i just this week lost my job, and the job that i have had for 5 years was so up and down on hours, in and out with managers and unreliable as far as paying my bills, this place being Target by the way and the only reason i had stayed that long is because i could NEVER find anything to replace it nothing i ever applied for was ever hiring at all. so as far as convienence and distance to home, walmart is close enough and the hours are decent. ive applied about 35 other places. but wal mart ,with the assesment problem is appearing to just not be an option. i just wanted it as a temporary option until i could get something going with my art and things like that. but as of right now, i now have no job due to target not being able to approve my transfer because i had to move because they were not paying me near enough to feed my family.

Walmart can be a frustrating place to work sometimes if your the only person who is working in your dept.

Have any of you dissing walmart actually worked for the company? I started in 2003 part time while going to college and it was a great job that worked around school. I ended up just sticking with the company and getting into management. It is a great company to work for with all kinds of good things you don't always get with other jobs. You get 2 paid 15 min breaks for a full shift. Insurance, stock options, 401k, bonuses, and vacation. It is a dependable company to work for because you know it is not going anywhere. I have a nice house, insurance, new car, and about to take a vacation to NYC Saturday. People that complain about the job I find just don't have good work ethic and all around lazy.
As far as your assessment not showing up I am not real sure of the problem. Have you worked for walmart before? If so maybe you left on bad terms and not eligible for rehire? Other than that just keep talking to HR. In all honestly he or she really probably has no clue what is going on as home office really has a tendency not to communicate the best with stores unless something becomes a big problem. Good luck

Good luck Yes, I have worked for wal-mart before back in 2005. but to make sure I was rehireable I did ask the store I applied at to check for me. And I am. so that is not the problem. and as far as a great place to work, I have heard bad things and I have also heard good. I worked at target for 5 years and I honestly have nothing good to say about them. They do not have steady hours AT ALL and they hire employees that talk alot of crap just because they cant be fired easily due to targets systems. I was one of the best they had and they decided keeping a guy that started crap with 5 other people that left because of the BS that were better than him. They didnt offer advancement oppertunities unless your were fresh out of college, you dont get vaca unless you make a certain amount of hours, you dont get bonuses unless you are middle or upper managment, and you sure as hell dont get respected for the work you do. at least at wal mart i know id get decent hours, after i turned full time i get bonuses, 2 15 min breaks, an hour lunch and a little bit of comfort knowing i can support my family.... with target i did not have that and i never would. in fact ill probably start a post on here later and talk about the bad things about target. just to save anybody thats applying the grief of working at that sess pool of politics and horse crap. Target is the WCW of retail.

I have worked for Wal-mart twice (2 diffenrent stores). The first time i was hired to help remodel the store close to my house. They let me go after the remodel.
The 2nd time i was hired as a cart pusher and they fired me because one of the other employees lied and said i took $1.00 from an old women for helping her carry a tv to her car. They later found out the other employee lied about it.
