Has anyone here had or does have Summer School? I hear it's a walk in the park and it's 10x easier than the actual class not sure though.

I had it once in middle school for English class. I've never had troubles with the subject but I was getting severely bullied in that class so I decided not to show up most days.
Anyway, when I went to take the summer school class all we did was two or three worksheets and read a 150-page book. Even as a kid, I couldn't believe how little we did.
Why do you ask?

Nope, I never ed up bad enough to need it, and was never motivated enough to do it to "get ahead". Most people from my school said it sucked though for obvious reasons.

I never had to take Summer school. I heard from friends that it was pretty boring and that even the teachers didn't want to be there.

I always had to take it for math since I've always struggled with it greatly. It's pretty damn easy, teachers 9 times out of 10 could care less since it's an extra job they just took for the $$$. Just show up, do what you're asked (which is usually not much) and you should be good to go.

I went to summer school mainly for math as well. The assessments given over the course of summer school was quite easy and only 1-2 hours of either reading or basic equations. It didn't really offer me to much assistance as I followed up with tutors, but it gave me something to do back then.

I signed up for it once, not because I failed the class but because I failed the geometry/earth science regents (state exam.) and thought I needed the extra help. Not to mention they also provided us with free metrocards. I ended up going to the earth science class for about 2 weeks and realized the teaching was horrible and didn't return. I did however go to the geometry class, yet ironically failed that test and passed the earth science. The classmates I had were some of the rudest kids ever, I remember asking myself how I ended up in summer school. Never again.

I've never been, but my girlfriend is going right now. A month straight for failing two semesters of math. She's taken about 5 or 6 tests so far and hasn't gotten below a 97%.

I went during my sophmore year. It was a breeze. We were there till about 11:30am. and I aced the class. It was pretty fun actually. Funny thing was my dean taught the class and we DID NOT get along. But for this? He was awesome and we became friendly with each other.

My summer before my senior year of high school I took two classes Government and Economics during the summer, because if you took it during the summer it was way easier than taking it during the school year. And it allowed me to only need to go half day my whole senior year

I've never had to, but I've heard from everyone who's had it about how easy it was.
