without the extra 2 weeks of training, franklin probably didnt feel he could get down to 185 correctly

If the judges don't give that to Franklin it forever raises my suspicion on the officiating going on in Brazil. =/

great ending. I luv franklin...but silva needed the win.
where do they go from here. I don't want to see Anderson or Chael vs Franklin.
but I would want to see Wanderlei vs either
if they stay at middleweight

Very fun fight, the main event did not disappoint in my eyes, great win by Franklin. And hats off to Wanderlei, as much as a dislike his fans on the web, I can't discredit his performances..

^ I know right, for a poorly built card I must say 147 actually delivered, shame about the lack of name power though.

Franklin getting the win over Wandy was awesome! I was pulling for him to get the win. Pumped about it, I'm not sure where it goes from here though...
But dang did they deliver or what!
AND! Werdum will certainly be a force to not be taken lightly in the Heavyweight division.
As well as Tirnaldo, that guy is intense! Stoked to see more from the newly acquired talent.

UFC brass says that Wanderlei/Vitor II will STILL take place. Maybe on the October Brazil card.

lol
"Vitor's next fight will not be against Wanderlei, he just lost tonight," White said. "When Vitor heals up, we will see what happens and go from there."
In other news, I actually think the fight should have been stopped in round 2.

Marshall Zelaznik, the UFC's managing director of international development, said at Saturday's post-fight press conference, which MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) attended, that the promotion still wants to move forward with the rematch.
"That's certainly something we're working towards," Zelaznik said. "No contracts have been sent or signed, but I think that's in the plans – to try and make that fight happen."mmajunkie.com/news/29365/ufc-hoping-vitor-belfort-wanderlei-silva-can-meet-on-october-card-in-brazil.mmaJust relaying that from Junkie.
