So I'm planning on buying Night of Champions tickets when they go on sale tomorrow morning because its in my hometown of Boston MA this year. Now I've been to a bunch of Raw tapings there over the past year or so (The Rock was there twice this year..it was AMAZING) but anyway I had a few questions.
I've sat on the floor like 3 rows back before and scored those tix a few days before the event and it was about 150 per seat, I've been to well over 50 events since 2001 but I've never sat in the very front row and Id really like to this time around. Does anyone have an idea of how much money Front row seats to a PPV would be?
Now as far as when I should buy the tix is concerned, is it best and cheapest to get them as soon as they're made available to the public? Or am I better off waiting til closer to the event to see if there's still tickets left that have dropped in price because they need to get rid of them? The last time they were there it was the "Raw gets Rocked" episode leading towards Mania and I bought my tckets the day of, and the pricdes were out of this world. Any floor seat was anywhere from 300 to 1000 bucks. I ended up getting a seat right on the side of the tron but on the second level and that was over 100 bucks.

I never been on the floor for any of the events, so I wouldn't know. I would imagine if you want to be risky you could wait til the day gets closer, but some might drop prices on like the day of the event, which is playing it close. You just really never know.

It's in Boston? I'm guessing Cena will win the title that night using the "hometown hero" card -.-

I bought tickets to Money in the Bank, since it's here in Phoenix next month. Ringside were 350$ a pop.

Ticketmaster has 'platinum seating' which is like, the first couple rows at ringside, and damn are they expensive. $300+, I believe.
But Ticketmaster prices will not go down. Third party sellers go down (stubhub, ticketsnow). Those are the places where last minute tickets will be at moderately decent prices, MAYBE.
Overall they really wont get any cheaper then the On-sale date. Because Third party either looks to make a profit, or break even. I dont think Ive ever come across tickets that were cheaper than face value.

Wow ticketmaster is charging between 800 and 1000 bucks for any of the first 3 rows. That's absolute bull. The cheapest after that is 400 a peice and they're all mediocre floor seats. Unbelievable I don't understand why they're so much. Looks like I won't be sitting ringside for this one =( .
Now I'm not sure if I should wait to see if more tix come out or if they get cheaper. Or if I should just play it safe and buy tix now to make sure I don't get screwed later. Ughh wtf.

I'm pulling up third row on the ramp on Ticketmaster right now at $413.
Those are WWE's prices. It has little to do with Ticketmaster. The ringside seats come with a chair, that jacks the cost up by $200+.
The platinum seats are a total joke and a rip off. It's Ticketmaster's way of becoming their own ticket scalper, but they charge three to four times what brokers would (usually). In answer to your question, yes, they will release them to the public pool of tickets if no one buys them, but it won't be until the week of the show, and you won't know when it happens, so you'll need to constantly check.
They'll still be $413, though.
