Hey all,
Does anyone know a store in Northern New Jersey (preferably Bergen County) or in New York City that sells old action figures, particularly the playmates Star Trek action figure line, Hasbro Star Wars line, etc...
I've tried researching online but I've come up short. Perhaps some of you know of a store that's not well known?

Maybe try midtown comics in the city. They have 3 locations.

I've been to the midtown comics in Times Square and they didn't have much of a selection in their "retro" toy section.
Has anyone been to St. Mark's Comic Book shop? I heard they have a selection of retro Star Trek and Star Wars actions figures

I don't know if they still do, but back in 98' when I used to deliver to them for UPS Zapp Comics in Wayne I think it was Valley Rd (in the shopping center across from the high school) sold old figures. But I couldn't stand the owner and his shady ways. Of course there's also T0y W1Z on rt59 in Nanuet/Spring Valley if you don't mind scalpers.

There used to be an awesome shop in Bergenfield called Plastic Dreams but it closed down years ago. Since then, I haven't found a store that sells old/classic action figures.

Made my first visit to St. Marks Comics and was a bit disappointed with their prices. They wanted $25 for figures I could get for much cheaper on Amazon.
I figured their prices would be high considering they're old figures and it's the Village but...damn.

I suggest checking out Zapp Comics in Wayne as they have a big selection of older toys and are always willing to give me a better price when I buy a few things at the same time. Ben is the owner and he is usually harder to get deals out of but I've gotten him down on a couple of things. Corey is the guy I try to deal with whenever I go in. He's a nice guy and always works with me on the price of stuff. The have a facebook page with tons of pictures and a tour of the store on Youtube.
There's also Jokers Child in Fair Lawn, on River Road, that has a great selection of older toys but I haven't been there in a while so I don't know about their prices. I do know they don't like to go below the marked price. I had $50 in cash on me so I made them an offer on a set of Road Warrior figures that had been sitting there for at least 2 years gathering dust. They were marked $60 for the set and they wouldn't take the $50 so I wouldn't expect much in the way of any kind of deal.
