the grading process is actually quite affordable if you call AFA to get the specifics of exactly what services you need, the MAIN cost for getting figures graded is the turn around time, a.k.a the time it takes them to grade your figures and then ship them back to you, if you choose the slowest turn around time you can save yourself almost 80-90 % on the cost, with that savings you can get an upgraded case or use it for whatever you like, i beleive the slowest/cheapest turn around time is 6 weeks, but for the savings it is well worth the wait!!! here is the contact information for afa/toy grader Submission and Contact Address: Collectible Grading Authority / C.G.A / A.F.A / C.D.A / D.C.A / V.G.A 2300 Holcomb Bridge Road Suite 103-336 Roswell, GA 30076 Phone: 770.825.0420 Fax: 770.825.0488 Web Site: www.toygrader.comEmail:info@toygrader.com also please note that i live about an hour from this place so if you want to save on shipping you can ship to me and i can drive your items directly to the place and ship them back to you, since i live close i can drop off your items and pick them up when they are ready, instead of having to pay their inflated shipping charges

I had made the mistake of getting 2 figures graded with an quick turn around time which basically cost $20 or $30 bucks more per figure. So if you are patient, get a normal turn around time, which is a couple of weeks, and you can save some money on that front. Obviously, get any figure you want graded, but in my opinion it makes sense to get figures graded that are higher end or rarer.
