I'll always have a soft spot for the TNN show. I was at the Danbury, CT episode, and could see myself in the stands almost the whole hour.

Both had some good parts and both had some awful parts. I loved the first few months of WWECW but once all the ECW originals were gone it just wasn't the same. Agree 100%. The minute they changed the set to be like raw and smackdown I tuned out.

WWECW was fantastic after they stopped trying to be ECW v.2. Christian, Regal, Punk, Morrison, Sheamus, Miz, Ryder, etc. Actual wrestling and great storylines. That's just it! The 1993-2001 ECW didn't even NEED storylines! Look at ECW One Nighr Stand 2005. That was EASILY the best PPV of the last decade and a half. Not even a WrestleMania has stacked up to that IMO. And before your precious Miz and Sheamus and Ryder [the latter two whom I really like btw] came up - since you wanna talk about "actual wrestling" - you seem to have forgotten that the original REAL ECW brought us Chris Benoit. Dean Malenko. Chris Jericho. Eddie Guerrero. Rey Mysterio. Psicosis. They all got their true American start in ECW. Shane Douglas, Raven, Rob Van Dam, Taz, Bam Bam Bigelow...they ALL FLOURISHED in ECW. And ECW gave true rise, it sowed the roots for the one man that 90% or more of fans worldwide love. That man is Stone Cold Steve Austin. Can you say that WWECW gave us anything like that? No. Because CM Punk was a star before he came to WWE. And let's face it, he is the biggest star to come from WWECW. To me, that WWECW really became FCW on TV. Truly, it did. Look at when they did the whole "Teddy Long's New Superstar Initiative". WTF? That wasn't ECW. As a die-hard of the original, it got really hard to watch that bastardization that got to borrow the famous letters of ECW. Because WWECW did nothing for the legacy of ECW, except sh*t on it. For crying out loud, 2 original ECW guys were ECW Champion. TWO! And one, RVD, got the rug pulled out from under him and the book thrown at him. Glorifyingly stripped of BOTH titles he had and suspended for 30 days for a misdemeanor amount of weed. And he NEVER got another thing from them except a bullsh*t write-off, taking a beating by Randy Orton. That happened to RVD, but then punks like Brian Kendrick and Paul London took for granted everything that they had and continually broke the weed rule over and over and over and were never suspended.

Not to mention all the New superstars still in Swagger, Ryder, Fox, rosa, Miz, Punk, AW, Tutsu, Sheamus and Jackson. Also the ones who were could but didn't last long like Colin, Neely, Kolov, ETC. There was Dreamer, Regal and Goldusts 's last run. I will always love WWECW!!

Sorry, I should have said "Actual wrestling and great storylines compared to RAW and Smackdown! at the time." I wasn't comparing it to the original ECW.

By far and away the original, the newer one was a joke and not really ECW just a WWE show with ECW stamped on it. I remember back in the day when they would chant ECW ECW ECW at WCW AND WWF shows. ECW forced WWF & WCW to become more hardcore.

I'm sorry but as awesome as orginal ECW was it had plenty of bad things, for one Sandman being one of the worst/sloppiest wrestlers I'd ever seen, Mikey WHipwreck was their world champion.

Original, but I still love both. The first month of the rebirth, Punk/Jomo, and practically everything in 2009 were the greatest times to watch WWECW imo.

Original. No debate necessary. The relaunch had SO MUCH potential, but they pulled the rug out from under Paul, and took creative control away, and that's what killed it. This, absoutely.

So basically what you're saying is you're too young to remember the Original ECW and/or you have never bothered to watch anything on Youtube/Dailymotion. ECW at one time had pound for pound the best wrestlers in the world. Benoit, Malenko, Guerrero, Mysterio and Jericho just to name a few.
