i really dont know what to do....because i have the giant ones and they are the coolest things ever....but 7" just fits more with everything else i own and its what i wanted from the beginning.... plus what if they actually do make more 7" figures from that movie, and not the giant ones? sucks for people that paid twice or thrice as much for the SDCC set to be honest...maybe the original cost is the same but they knew by limiting it people would pay a higher price if they werent able to get it right away...and now you've got people who paid after market so much more because they believed the SDCC set was going to be the only one...pretty sure they "sold" it as that being the only release too To be honest, even if they “sold” it as that being the only release, that may honestly be what they believed at the time. The rights to sell at GameStop may be something they weren’t sure could happen. At SDCC, Randy did specifically say the rights for movies are still limited to convention exclusives. Also, the people that paid aftermarket prices basically bought off scalpers. If they bought them because the really wanted them that bad, they got them. If they bought them as a potential investment, there’s always the risk the investment doesn’t pay off. Just look at comics in the 90s.

I’m on of the ones that got the SDCC set and I’m actually super happy about them being available at GameStop. I think before shipping and tax my set was $125. Not much of a difference between that and the price of getting all 4 Turtles. Plus I’m looking at the possibility of getting future individual movie figures at GameStop like Shredder and Foot Soldiers. And maybe we could even get Splinter, Casey, and perhaps April. Hell go even more nuts and do the Samurai Turtles from the 3rd movie (I still think that one was pretty decent btw). I really want 7" figures of Shredder, Foot Soldiers, Casey, April and Splinter. Hell, I'd even buy TMNT II Secret of the Ooze figures....the suits still looked good in that movie: I'm out on TMNT III though....suits looked like trash, unfortunately. I still don't understand wtf happened with that movie. The story not withstanding...who designed those suits and who was like "yeah, this looks great"....did they even see the first two movies or compare them to ANYTHING? TMNT III hits me right in the childhood. I think the company was called 'All Effects' that took over for the third. Far as I know they outbid Henson's creature shop to get the job or were cheaper or something like that. They were the company that did the Short Circuit Johnny 5 effects I believe. I saw the guy from the actual company commenting on a YouTube video and he seemed to come off like an arrogant jerk. He was claiming they had better animatronics and went on about the buggy software Henson used and how crap it was. Yeah, who cares that he had better mechanics, the final product on screen looked like a cheap, jittery Chuck E Cheese animatronics stage show. Henson was and still is awesome.

i dunno, the 3rd 90's movie gets a lot of crap and hate but i still like it. its not the best in the series at all, but its fine. at least it kept the "spirit" of the first 2, and they brought back Casey.
i mean, what else were they gonna do, the stuido killed off Shredder in the 2nd one, so you gotta come up with something else. maybe they were lazy with the story and not involving Krang, but i watched the crap out of that movie as a kid and liked it...isnt that what matters?

When do the new TMNT toys hit for the 2018 series? Far as I know October 1. So looks like they'll actually hit after the show already premiers.

I can’t even find too much info on the new figures online....I’m so confused by this new show. It feels like they are almost trying to keep the excitement at a minimum. But yet they are so confident they gave it a 2nd season order already.

my interest in this new show is absolutely ZERO
i think it looks like complete crap, i dont care for all these stupid "changes" they made to characters, stories, etc. its basically "pissing on my childhood" status at this point and i hate even going there but the comparison to the Nick reboot in 2012 which was exactly what i wanted in a Ninja Turtles show...to this upcoming pile of hot garbage is like comparing Mattel elites to Jakks Maximum Sweat

When the 2012 show started I was a little skeptical, wasn’t a big fan of the art style. But I was willing to give it a chance, and after watching it, I loved it. But I’m not interested in the new series at all, and don’t plan on giving it a chance lol.

the 2012 reboot was awesome. they kind of got a little wacky towards the end, and there was a significant change when Biggs left the show
but overall the storyline was great, the characters were great, i loved how they presented shredder, i loved the bad guys they came up with, it was just a really well done and entertaining show and i felt the best since the original cartoon.

I too loved it, it reminded me so much of the original show in spirit. I don’t even really understand why they felt the need to make a change.

2012 show was awesome, I too was also skeptical about the way the turtles looked at first, but it really grew on me. I think this new reboot looks horrendous, from the toys to the actual show, no thank you.

My wife just spotted a 1990’s Ninja Turtles toy trunk at a flea market she is at this weekend. Any idea what a fair price is to offer?

I'll probably only get Meat Sweats from the Rise of the Turtles line.

One of the things I hate the most is that it looks like they are trying to make them resemble the Bay movie Turtles. I watched all of the five episodes they put On Demand to promote it. Man, I guess the modern style is really just passing me by lol but it was like just watching a speeding car go by. Nothing seems to get a chance to breathe and I couldn't take away anything I really cared about so far. This one really just seems like it's for the ADD crowd and just pulling the shutters down on any adults who grew up on the Turtles hoping to enjoy it with the kids.

So a couple weeks ago NECA announced the release of the 1990 movie Turtles at GameStop in 2019. This news came after they had released the Comic Con Exclusive set of 1990 movie Turtles earlier this year. There was a little irritation coming from collectors that had purchased the Comic Con set because it was more expensive and some felt the the single release hurts the exclusivity of their sets. I can see where they’re coming from, but considering so many of us wanted these figures and were on the site ordering only to get knocked out of them due to technical issues, I’m happy that they’re releasing them for everyone.
But since we’re on the topic of people being upset about the release of these, let me tell you my story. So the first day of the preorders for the Comic Con set, my wife and I were heading out to hit some stores and watch Deadpool 2. Well we stopped at a comic shop, and on the wall they had a WWF Winged Eagle Championship Title for sale for $200. This is my dream title, have wanted one since they’ve started making them but just haven’t brought myself to drop the money on one yet as usually they’re $300-$400. I thought about it, and being that I was going to be spending over $100 on the NECA Turtles and spending over $100 on the X-Men Apocalypse wave soon, I just couldn’t justify myself spending $200 more on a Title right then. So regretfully I passed. We went on to Deadpool 2 and the preorders were going to happen during our movie. Luckily there wasn’t a large crowd watching that day and we sat in the back so as not to disturb any other viewers. So I got on my phone during the preorder trying to get the Turtles, missing part of the movie. Technical issues from the ordering process caused me to miss them, oh well I’ve got a couple more days to try. Tried again on on the other preorder days and was hit with the same technical issues and I completely missed out. So since I had missed my chance at the Turtles I thought maybe I could still get my Winged Eagle Title, I call the comic shop and was told that it had already sold. That sucks. Fast forward a few months and NECA announces the Turtles release at GameStop.......I should have bought that Winged Eagle belt and not even tried for that stupid Comic Con preorder. I think NECA owes me a Winged Eagle Title belt lol. Oh well, glad to get a second chance to get these figures and there’ll always be another chance to get my Title, just thought some of you guys might enjoy my story.

Grabbed these today! I don’t think I’m ever going to be comfortable with that art style. Just not for me. Cool that you found these and they are starting to hit though.
