Just wanted to share this I think it's about time we get a Shao Kahn figure. I recently just bought one online,so I'm excited to wait for this to arrive. It's the 7 inch figure so it should go great with the other MK figures.

There's only one on ebay as of right now about $29 bucks, but the guy has multiples. That's how much I got it for. I saw it immediately on ebay and was amazed hoping to buy it later, but the guy already sold 4 and had only one left so I couldn't pass on it, but I found another guy that's selling them for the same price.

My brother is going to love these. I must say I do not like the head scan for Kang. Jax and Nightwolf look awesome.

Those'll look good on my shelf. I can finally swap figures out of my displays haha.
Wonder why no Reptile? I thought he was shown a while back.

"Jazwares has posted a couple of new Mortal Kombat Action Figure photos on their Facebook Page. They have posted a shot of their upcoming 6" Reptile and their Deluxe Shao Kahn, who stands about 8" tall. Reptile features a removable mask, while Shao Kahn does not."

Given the quality of a lot of figures being made today, does anyone else find these figures to be a bit lacking and overpriced?

Depends. I mean, they're the same price (roughly) as Hasbro Marvel Legends, which notoriously re-use body parts and re-release figures. Their paint is usually better, although sometimes it doesn't cut it (here's looking at Klaw).
MK figures have less paint detail/articulation, but they all have unique (and pretty well detailed) sculpts. Kind of a trade-off, I'd say.

I thought the old sculpts on the Jazwares figures from the early 2000s were significantly better. They were less articulate, but they looked higher quality. These figures just look okay to me. Basic painting and fairly basic sculpting.

I should be getting Shao Kahn in the mail today from Amazon. I can't wait. I agree that these figures have been lacking, but I couldn't pass up Shao Khan. I'll probably get the rest of the 6 inch series now. I hope this line continues so we can get everybody. I'd kill for Kitana, Mileena, Sindel, Motaro, Shinnok, Quan Chi and Shang Tsung.
Edit: I just opened it and it's a really sweet figure, except the head, torso and upper arms are a slightly different tone from his legs and forearms. No big deal really, but kind of annoying since I paid almost $30 for it, S&H included. My real issue is that they forgot to paint the spikes on his left shoulder pad. I'm pretty pissed about that but it happens, better that than it breaking right out of the package or something.
