Did Mattel talk distribution at SDCC?

I'm wondering if they said even one word about how their distribution has gone from bad to worse to really bad. All these cool figs at SDCC that people are jumping at pre-ordering because they are afraid they won't find these in stores - isn't that the biggest issue they should address, not when Tensai will get a figure?

Or are we screwed from here on out because toy distribution seems to be failing across the board?
