Hmmmm I'd have to say Illinois. Chicago is what really makes it for me. I'd love to live there in the future. Ah yes Chicago. Home of crooked politicians, red light cameras, expensive toll ways, horrible traffic, expensive parking meters, no street parking in most neighborhoods, the Cubs, never ending and never improving construction, Oprah, super rats, high crime rate, flash mob muggings, Mayor Emanuel and hypodermic needle infested beaches. My home sweet home and I'll never leave!

The state I live in, California. More specifically the region I live. The beach, weather and women. We don't know what real cold or hot weather is.

I quite like Maryland. I love Florida, but the lack of seasons does me in.

of course a lot of people are going to be a little biased and say their home State. And of course people are going to say States like CA, FL, & NY since they are the most popular places to go and party places.
I will be a little biased and say my home State of Iowa. We ARE the Heartland of this great nation. We produce a little bit of everything that's on your dinner plate, we have the best State Fair in the Union, and we are the political key to every national election....but we still get little to no respect.
My favorite State to visit was Virginia. Mostly because of the history, nature, and ahh; the sweet smell of the tabacco factories.

Might be biased because it's where I'm from, but, New York, especially the part where I grew up in for the 15 years of my life- Sullivan County. The mountains (the Twin Cities pretty much have no mountains,) driving around and just taking in the scenery, and just enjoying myself with old friends and family is what I missed. So thankful I was able to go home with my mother sister for about a week.

I would say New York (Long Island) to be exact. I grew up there but I live in NC now. I actually like living here but I still miss NY. In couple of years, I will probably move back.

New York. Just because of where I live. I don't live in the city, but I love close enough to go back and forth.

I live in Georgia. My answer is definitely NOT Georgia.
I have been to most states, so I guess out of the ones I have been to, Hawaii is my favorite. Probably followed by Florida, Washington, California, and Maine.

For history and city life the NE is where it's at, but for natural beauty it's the western United States sans Idaho. Idaho blows.
Utah and California are bot incredibly rich with beauty, they might be my favorite in that regard, Hawaii too. Northern California is nothing like Southern California. Redwoods, Napa Valley, Sierra Nevada and the SF Bay is amazing.
Oregon/Washington are pretty similar. The Pudget Sound, Olympic Peninsula and the Columbia River Gorge are breathtaking, but Central Oregon(from north to south), Oregon Outback and the coast line tip the scale to Oregon. Montana also is beautiful.
The size of these states are enormous and because of which are incredibly diverse.

As a fellow New Jerseyan, I disagree, Its quite a craphole in here. But I've always liked the Southern states, They hold so much history and places to go to its just overwhelming. Also I love Nevada, its has the Strip thats so colorful and if only The Sands was still standing I'd love to go to the old showroom where The Rat Pack played and soak up the glory!

My homes state of Maryland. Very rich in history. The food is great. I especially love living on the Eastern Shore because that's where the peninsula is, which makes Virginia and Delaware just a skip away.
My second favorite is definitely Virginia. Used to go to camp in the mountains in VA every summer as a kid and it's such a beautiful place.
