Since his match with CM Punk ended in a DQ due to Big Shows interference, does that officially make John Cena to be the first to cash in the MITB and not win the Championship?

Yeah, he is the first person to cash in and lose. It's been stated on their website a few times since Monday in various articles.

Oh You Didn't Know you're both wrong. Cena wasn't., the first to "lose" but the first to unsuccessfully cash in his contract so far. Which will be reversed when he faces Big Show to re-earn it.

he cashed in, won by DQ, didnt win belt. he won but lost in the sense he's not the champion. he is NOT the first to cash in and loose, like people keep saying, as he won the match, but was unsuccessfull in winning the belt.

Doesn't matter if he won the match by "DQ", it cancels out because the fact is, every MITB winner has won the TITLE, so Cena is infact the first person to Cash in MITB and not win the title.

I'd have to say that the first person to win the MITB contract and not win the title would be Ken Kennedy correct? He won the briefcase but lost the briefcase so with a big "TECHNICALLY" thrown in there...he was the first to hold a MITB briefcase and not win a belt from it.

That is right, but WWE always say all winners of mitb (before Cena failed) cash in and win. Kennedy never got to cash in his because of injury.

Yeah, that is true, but I don't think they will count Kennedy as he never attempted to cash in his briefcase.

To throw every technical point out the window and clear up any wording confusion:
John Cena is the first Superstar to unsuccessfully cash in the MITB contract.

John Cena is the first Superstar to unsuccessfully cash in the MITB contract - this quote needs to be thrown into his eventual HOF induction voice over for the lulz ;-)

What a waste having that jackass win MITB only to end up losing it. It should've been given to someone that needed the push.

Didn't it turn out he was misdiagnosed by the doctors and he only sprained something? Cause I remember like a week or so later he was wrestling again.

What a waste having that jackass win MITB only to end up losing it. It should've been given to someone that needed the push. ...or they finally needed to add some uncertainty to the MITB (so it's not looked at as an automatic title win) - and Cena has the least to lose from an unsuccessful cash-in.

John Cena is the first Superstar to cash in the MITB contract and unsuccessfully win a title. The success in cashing in the contract is winning the WWE/World title. He walked away with a win but did not regain the title, therefore he cashed in the contract unsuccessfully.
