John Cena cashed in his MITB briefcase, won by DQ but failed to win the WWE Title. How hard is that to understand? He is the first person to cash in MITB and not win a World Title.

Doesn't matter if he won the match by "DQ", it cancels out because the fact is, every MITB winner has won the TITLE, so Cena is infact the first person to Cash in MITB and not win the title. God, that pictures pisses me off. I was the biggest Kennedy fan, I swear, and when he lost the briefcase, I was pissed.

That is right, but WWE always say all winners of mitb (before Cena failed) cash in and win. Kennedy never got to cash in his because of injury. Didn't it turn out he was misdiagnosed by the doctors and he only sprained something? Cause I remember like a week or so later he was wrestling again. Yeah, they jumped the gun a bit before they knew how serious it was.

... but he did cash it in on Monday. John Cena is the first Superstar to cash in the MITB contract and unsuccessfully win a title. The success in cashing in the contract is winning the WWE/World title. He walked away with a win but did not regain the title, therefore he cashed in the contract unsuccessfully. The contract is for a WWE/World title match. I honestly don't think you quite understand how it works, not trying to be an ass about it. Cashing in the Money in the Bank contract for a title match ... SUCCESSFUL. ... but he did cash it in on Monday. John Cena is the first Superstar to cash in the MITB contract and unsuccessfully win a title. Winning the WWE/World title ... UNSUCCESSFUL. ... but he did cash it in on Monday. John Cena is the first Superstar to cash in the MITB contract and unsuccessfully win a title. We must be saying the same thing, but differently, haha.

Trust me, I clearly understand how you're wording it and definitely understand how the ladder match/contract/cash in situation works. We are pretty much saying the same thing. Obviously, any one who holds the briefcase (Kennedy/Anderson excluded) is going to get a match for the title; that's a given. The whole purpose of the contract is to win the championship, though, seeing as how the match is guaranteed. That is where I'm coming from in my wording of Cena's cash in.

OBVIOUSLY the rematch will be at SummerSlam. They wanted to boost ratings for the show, so he cashed in that night, but nothing will change for sure until SS.

It was stupid the way they did it. A clean loss for Cena would have been best.
