When I was younger I had always hoped that I would have kids who would love watching wrestling, and collect figures like I did. I grew up on the old LJN WWF figures and remember how great it was the first time I spotted a Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat figure and he was in all black instead of the advertised red and black.
Now that I'm older, I love going on hunts for the Mattel figures with my 8 year old son. He proudly displays (and plays with) his figures and loves looking over the ones I have. He even loves to talk about trading figures with me and has become quite savvy in proposing some great trades with me. I love being able to share in this hobby with him.
How many of you aren't the only collector in your family? Spouses, siblings, children . . . anyone else sharing in the joy of collecting?

My son's 2 1/2 now and my collections of WWE Mattel, MOTUC, and to some extent vintage ARAH G.I. Joe are pretty much all there for him. I hope I can get him to develop a love for wrestling like I have had all my life - we watch a few matches (when the wife's not around!) and I let him go to town with my figures if he wants. Fortunately nothing expensive has broken and at they end of the day they're just toys afterall. But they absorb so much at this stage, our play fights are pretty rough and tough!
I'd like to think I'm still a gamer (older with more responsibilities), but honestly, nothing pushed my imagination more than playing in the yard with my action figures as a kid. I definitely want him to have that same experience except he sure loves Jetpack Joyride right now...

I have friends that collect but not family members. Action figure collecting isnt what it used to be anyway, its kinda sad.

My girlfriend has a cat, and I tried to get the cat into collecting wrestling figures, but it didn't work.

My 12 year old daughter likes wrestling and knows alot about the current wrestlers but don't give a damn about figures. and my 6 year old boy is a Lego / Mario brothers fan so he might grow into wrestling.

My nephews, who are closer to my age than most nephews grew up being like little brothers to me. They were in to every thing I was. Even now that we are all getting older and have moved on in our own lives. They still are in to wrestling and collecting the figures. Its fun being able to talk wrestling and share the hobby of figure collecting with them.
My girlfriend doesn't collect wrestlers.(Although I have gotten her in to watching it.) She collects Monster High dolls. So we will go on figure/doll hunts together. And we both enjoy seeing the other's collection grow.
We have a daughter together that isn't old enough to collect anything yet. But I'm sure she will want to b like us and collect something and display it on a shelf of her own when she gets older.

I'm the only figure collector in my family, but I come from a long line of wrestling fans. My great grandfather loved it, he'd jump up and down, and scream at the TV. My grandfather liked wrestling until he found out it was fake (But I got him back into wrestling a couple of years ago, and he likes it again), my father likes wrestling (but complains about absolutely everything WWE does, even if he contradicts himself), my grandmother (on my mom's side of the family) used to love wrestling, and even trained to be a wrestler with her neighbor Haystacks Calhoun, and I am absolutely obsessed with wrestling. I also share an interest in superheroes, and my dad is completely in love with superheroes. So with us both liking Wrestling and superheroes, I am his favorite child
