The saddest moment for me (non death wise) was the day I found out Ric Flair lost the WWF Title to Bret Hart. Looking at it now it doesnt seem bad but you have to understand you had a guy who was THE best in the NWA/WCW at the time...has gone on to the WWF and become "The Man" up there and then all of the sudden he's lost to a mid carder? A former Tag team wrestler who freaking wore pink! I was about 10 years old at the time and was furious when I found it. Of course looking at it now, Both are in the hall of fame and both are two of the greatest of all times....back then though, not the case.

Eddie's tribute show, Edges retirement, and HBK losing at WM26.
Mcmahon bein relieved of his duties was suprising as well. Seeing McMahon cry? Never before, never again.

The saddest moment in WWE history was May 23rd 1999 at Over The Edge. I don't know how anyone can say someone's retirement is sadder than knowing a man fell to his death, doing a stunt he didn't want to do, all because the WWE needed those sweet ratings and ppv buy rates. Owen Hart did not have to die. His death, is easily the one death in wrestling that didn't have to happen, or shouldn't have happened. These parts are completely accurate, I was watching Over the Edge on PPV when Owen died and I was crying when Jim Ross made his now infamous announcement. The following night on Raw was also extremely emotional for me as I had met and spent time with Owen when he wrestled in my hometown a couple of years before. I have never met a more friendly and kindhearted wrestler in my life. Owen made me feel like I was the most interesting person he had met in his life. Another extremely emotional night for me was when WCW held their first event in the Kemper Arena on October 4th of that year and Bret & Benoit had their tribute match match for Owen. The most recent sad moment for me was when Edge announced his retirement. I've followed Edge for years as he worked his way through the indy scene in Ontario and onto the WWE. I was at his tryout match in Hamilton and I was on hand at when he won his first championship at a live event in Toronto. So for me that was a very emotional night. I even cried the first time I watched his career retrospective DVD.

Daniel Bryan being left at the altar Nah, Owen Hart's death is the saddest moment, Eddie's death a close second, Owen is sadder because he didn't even want to do the stunt where Eddie chose to take drugs :llol. I have to admit I cried my eyes out.

Eddie's tribute show. I remember being so sad about it as a kid that I didn't go to school the next day.

Mick Foley getting fired and "retiring" in 2000. I was 11 and that "I Will Remember You" video made me so freakin sad.

I know some might remember me posting this video before, but I think many people should see it. It's just awesome.
The first time I ever saw Edge on live WWE TV was his return at the 2004 WWE Draft. I know a lot of people are not fans of that face run of Edge, but watching him spearing the General Manager was just something awesome for me. I would lie if I said he was my #1 favorite at the moment, but I did think he was definitely awesome. With his heel run starting later that year, I kept on liking him more and more every time. Watching this video makes me realize how much I enjoyed wrestling when he was there. Not saying I don't do now, but for most part, he never failed to give me an entertaining match, feud, or segment. All I can do after watching it is smile and be thankful for all he gave to us.

Raw is Owen- I remember the "match" between Godfather (Owens opponent the night of his death) and Road Dogg where Dogg took the mic and cancelled the match offering to share stories of Owen. It was a very emotional show in my eyes.
EDIT*- I have to admit that is the second most emotional to the night before when I was watching Over The Edge and the camera showed JR and Lawler nearly crying. Then seeing the main event where Taker looked like he was crying all night. That is just hard to watch without getting emotional about it.

Edge's retirement? Yes because retirement is far sadder than a tragic accident that lead to someone's death.
RAW IS OWEN, by far the saddest thing ever.

Do you honestly expect everyone to have seen that show? 80% of the people that post here are teenagers, or haven't been watching that long. Me for example. I started watching in 2000, so Owen's death doesn't even register on my emotional moments. Even though it is a terrible thing.

Eddie leads the way because I wasn't watching when Owen passed away. But everytime that someone I have watched died,I get upset a little such as Umaga or Big Bossman

It's common knowledge that Owen died in a tragic ring accident. That should automatically register as sadder than someone retiring early.
