I know a lot of us have mentioned the bad distribution before but I think it's hit an all time low. I stopped collecting the Mattel line but I still go in to stores all the time and can't help but take a look to see what's there. I haven't seen any new product on the pegs in months. Did the distribution completely die in anyone else's area?
I haven't seen a single sign of any of these
Basic 15 Basic 17 Basic 18 Basic 19 Basic 20
Elite 14 Elite 15
BP 16 BP 17

As far as Basics, I haven't seen past Series 17 @ retail.
I have seen all of the Elite Series though.

I've seen everything (other than Elite 16) but in all different stores. Target's been best for me, Toys R Us is random, and Walmart is starting to bring in the new stuff.

Germany has gotten B17 in, but we're still stuck with Elite 9 figures. No BP's though!

Everything around here (Forsyth and it's outlying counties) is completely random:
Basic 13- At first K-mart, then Walmart had craptons of it. Basic 14- Only at a few CVS stores around here and one in Kernersville that I stopped at. Basic 15-TRU, Target much later Basic 16- K-mart only Basic 17- Kohl's originally, later at the Wal-marts in the area that never had endcap setups Basic 18- CVS only so far. Basic 19- One Target in Greensboro
Signature Series 2- Clogging everywhere. Even in places where it has sold, there is at least 3 Cena and 1 Mysterio left. I could drive 30 minutes in any direction and come home with at least 40 SS figures. And now Kohl's has the Signature Series 3 Orton, Rey, and Cena. I'm going to find the marketing genius who came up with signature series, and then even worse made them straight reissues, and I'm going to polish every unsold SS figure, turn it sideways... you know the rest.
The Elites are slowly trickling in. We've barely had 15, and then Sears and a few Wal-Marts got 16 already.
TRU finally got BP 3, so I finally got the Bellas.
Anyway, I think as quickly as the figures are released coupled with the line being around for several years that it's just losing some steam. A lot of the figures are just repaints and then when you factor in that retailers were for some reason only all on the same page with Signature Series that had 2 repaints and 4 reissues of some of the easiest to find and undesirable figures of last year, I think retail will only naturally dry up some. I'm just glad to live where there are so many secondary stores (Big Lots, Kohl's, Ollies, and CVS Walgreens and Rite-Aid by the dozens on every major street corner) to supplement the crappy Retailers like Target, where I have officially bought less figures this year than at Kohl's.

The only series I never found was B15. But it could have been out here and I just didn't notice, because there was nobody in the set that I wanted.

Distribution does seem low. There seems to be plenty of E14 and B19. Never saw B15. I think B17 only once. B18 Kelly Kelly, once. B20 is still new but I saw it on TRU truck day and Amazon had plenty. BP 16, one time. BP 17 is just starting to hit area Walmarts.

Head over to the next city over. Maybe it's a bit different. Stores cannot restock what hasn't sold. Maybe your stores have a hard time selling the figures so they don't bother keeping up with them.

In my area, I have seen everything, literally. There has not been any figure I have not been able to get at least 5x over. You guys need to hit muliptle stores to find something tho. MULTIPLE wal mart, kmart and TRU.

^^That doesn't always help. I have 6 Wallys, 5 Targets, 3 TRUs, and 3 Kmarts with in 30 miles that I visit regularly. Anything further than 30 miles is pointless because I might as well pay a little extra online. Which is what I've been doing a lot this year. Sometimes I don't know if there are enough collectors in my area to keep the stuff moving plus the usual suspects are pegwarming.

Distribution is amazing in the UK, must be because its a smaller area. Seen every figure in the past year at least 3 times. Including e16.

I have tried to start a sightings/non sightings thread in relation to distribution but it got removed for some reason I guess Mattel doesn't want to hear it because as long as retail is buying off of them us getting what we want isn't their problem. They already made their money as far as they are concerned. As far as series of figures I never seen: B15 and B18 have never hit my area. I live in NEPA BTW. We got droves of B13 but never once saw Vickie. B14 was in such a small amount you can almost say we didn't get those. That is the other thing, if it isn't poor distibution it is the over saturation of one series and not enough of another. It makes no sense for one Walmart to have 15 cases of B15 n one part of the country yet another part gets none. I can't say we missed any Elite series, but traveling from one store to another in a 25 mile radius was required. i.e. E11 was only stocked at 2 out of 5 Walmarts in my area and they appeared to only get 2 cases. We have been getting good amounts of E14 but we keep getting the No FB revision cases. I have yet to see Booker T or Bossman on a shelf. It sucks because all my friends who collect gave up on Mattel a while ago now because of these issues, and at some point I wonder how long will it be before I throw in the towel. Sometimes I think I should start collecting Hot Toys figures, because for what 3 or 4 hard to find Elites cost via internet I could just get a Hot Toys figure.

Here is what I haven't found in my area yet at retail:
Basics: -Series 16 -Series 18 -Series 19 -Series 20 -Battle Packs 17
Elite: -Series 14 -Series 15 -Series 16
It's ok though, my area is usually 2-3 sets behind and sooner or later they will show. I'm ok with that. I don't need to be the first person to get a certain figure.

But how does a whole series never make it to certain areas? In all my years of collecting I have never seen this. The final wave of a dying toy line has wider distribution.

I'm blessed to have about 8 TRUs, 10+ Walmarts, 10+ Targets, 5 Kmarts, etc. in a 50-60 mile radius in the Bay Area. Doesn't get better than this.
