I work at a Walmart, and we've been doing the toy refresh recently. Well, while putting out toys I saw a few Mattel WWE Boxes, I put out the goods (E16, Basic 15, and BP 17) and when I got off of work I went to toys to grab some. I picked up
E16 Heath Slater
E16 Diesel (we didn't get Nash)
Basic 15 Kofi Kingston
Basic 15 Brodus Clay
Basic 15 Wade Barrett
Battle Packs 17 Mark Henry vs Trent Baretta
It came to $92.68 before my discount.
There's the proof ;D
NOW onto the figures:
Basics first
Kofi Kingston
I don't like Kofi at all to be honest, but I've needed a Kofi for ages. I think the head is the flaw here. They kind of just painted eyeballs onto him, and they have no depth. It's unrealistic, but it does bare some resemblance to Kofi. They did give him the tattoo though!
Wade Barrett
I really have no complaints about Barrett. The attire is great, the tattoo is what it is, and the face is spot on.
Brodus Clay
Awesome job. The sculpt is great, the headscan is almost perfect, and the tattoos are right on the money. The figure actually has some weight to it. Fits this era of Clay perfectly.
Next, Battle Packs!!
Mark Henry
I've only owned one other Henry, and it was a BCA Nation of Domination figure. This Mark Henry is amazing. The unique body and molding is great. Everything that I saw Jakks do for Henry was always "that's not bad" at best. This Henry is thee Henry to get IMO.
Trent Baretta
Unlike (seemingly) everyone else, I never really cared for Trent. Great resemblance, awesome attire, and it's great that the boots have detail. They threw in Abe Lincoln as well.
Finally, THE ELITES
Heath Slater
There isn't a whole lot to say. The ladder was an awesome touch. It's huge. It's almost twice Slater's height. No sure or belt kind of hurt this figure for me, though I'm glad that the ladder came with it. The One Mand Band rocks!
Diesel is the second best figure in this set as far as I'm concerned (I own CM Punk from E16 as well, and I have to say it's the star, not having seen Nash in person yet). The detail on Diesel is amazing. The tattoos are awesome, the jacket has incredible detail, and the attire is well done. I hate Mattel's painting of facial hair though. It almost ruins the figure for me. They've really gotta work on painting faces.
Overall, I'm happy with my haul. I think I got a great bunch of figures! Hope you enjoyed my review!
