Morning guys.
While watching the latest IMPACT, and after watching SummerSlam, I noticed a few segments/matches they have gone the same way as the big matches at SummerSlam. At Summerslam, Punk won the Triple Threat by knocking Cena out of the ring after he gave Big Show an AA. On IMPACT, Robbie E won the BFG Series Triple Threat after pinning RVD after he just gave AJ Styles a 5 star frog splash. Later on in the night, as the match between Bully Ray and Mr. Anderson was starting, Taz said "it's a big fight feeling right here tonight." As the epic match between Triple H and Lesnar was starting, Cole said "a big fight fell here tonight King". Does it annoy anyone else when companies do this? It's like "we'll wait to see what works for them so we can see if it works for us" Companies are going to copy each other, there's no stopping that, but to me, it just seems lazy and cheap to copy things after a big event that took a lot of work to go successfully.
Does it annoy anyone else?

It seems more like a coincidence to me.

Thats a common way for Triple Threats to end and as for the commentary line, thats nothing more than a coincidence.

With the Lesnar - Triple H match, I get the "big fight feel" to it. Bully vs Anderson, they've faced off on IMPACT many times in the past, so I don't get the "big fight feel" to it. The Triple Threat match situation, they could've had Robbie E come in after RVD went for a pin fall and hit his finisher on him and win that way.

There's no such thing as an original idea in wrestling anymore, from any company,

Man people nitpick over everything anymore don't they, it's wrestling there is no such thing as an original idea or concept. That finish to the Triple Threat Match is one of the most overused finishes there is an the whole big fight thing is just trying to make a match seem more important, nothing more nothing less.

It's interesting because the events are so close together, but neither were something TNA invented that night, so coincidence seems the most likely explanation.

You must be new to wrestling, because saying a main event has a "big fight feel" is a commonly used phrase, and ending a triple threat like that is, again, common.

Wait, RVD hit AJ Styles with a Frog Splash and then RVD got pinned from it? The is that? RVD always sells it that he is hurting so bad from the 5 star. So RVD hit it, rolled over grimacing in pain and clutching his abdomen. Robbie rolled him from behind and got the pin. Seems logical.

I'm not new to wrestling, been watching since I was a "wee lad" There was no build up to Anderson vs Ray unlike Lesnar vs Trip. Anderson vs. Ray were fighting for points in a championship tournament where the winner gets a title match on the biggest stage of them all. How is it not a big fight feel? It's not like it was Robbie E vs. Gunner, no. It was two main event starts, in the main event, fighting for a chance to earn a World Heavyweight Title shot. Seems like a pretty big match to me...
