X-Factor was a stable . I think these teams deserved tag runs: New Foundation (92 & 94). Crush and Smash. Bam Bam Bigelow and Tatanka (95). Powers of Pain. The Rockers.

New Foundation - Not around long enough due to Anvil injury, possibly in 94 Crush/Smash - Abysmal shadow of the real Demolition Bam Bam/Tatanka - Reasonable since tag division was shallow then PoP - Not for me, The Rockers - Definitely Twin Towers & Allied Powers for me

I could be way wrong here but I don't believe Arn & Barry ever held the Tag Team titles together. Their feud with Doom was fantastic and a reign around that time would have been great.
Also the Rockers are a shoe in here. They were extremely over & had some great matches. No reason why they couldn't have had a legit run as champions.
And though I was never a huge fan the Rougeau Brothers were a capable team who could have had a good run.

Well, in looking back at actual teams that would have looked good with the tag straps, I gotta go with....
Killer Bees Islanders Rockers Power & Glory Heavenly Bodies Allied Powers

The Rockers were super popular but were kinda...jobbers to be honest. I dunno.
Hmm...I'm really not sure. Most decent teams got at least one run. Hell, even Skip & Zip were tag champs for a little bit.
I guess I'll have to go with The Rockers.

They were in fact going to get a tag title run had the top rope not snapped in their match against the Hart Foundation. Of the teams mentioned so far, the only one I could have seen getting a tag title run was the Allied Powers. I always thought they should have eventually taken the titles off of Yokozuna and Owen Hart. Another team I could have seen having a run was the Twin Towers. Bossman and Akeem could have made great heel champions. I think with their main event run with Hogan and Savage, they didnt really need the belts though.

I think because in all of 1988, 1989, and 1990..they only teams they actually beat, were jobbers, Conquistidors, and the Orient Express. They lost every match they had against the Brainbusters, Demolition, Rougeaus and Nasty Boys. Vince could have put the belts on them anytime after the rope break match...and didnt. They were awesome...but compared to the teams around them, they were not top contenders for the first 3 years of their run.

Wow....you know I just looked it up and the Rockers didnt win a 2 on 2 PPV match in all of 88, 89, or 90! I would have thought that impossible considering how over they were and presumably well respected in the tag ranks they were. I still think they should have gotten a tag title run though, but it is a surprising statistic for a team that most usually consider (myself included) in the top 10 of all time.

They were very exciting, and had great matches with most teams.

The Rock and Stone Cold.
Hell, Stone Cold held them with everyone else, and so did The Rock (UnderTaker, Mick Foley, Shawn Michaels, Chris Jericho) so why not each other?

yeah unfortunately the Rockers were the Jobbers of the Tag division for 80% of their run.)I think The Bushwhackers had a better record on PPV than the Rockers in the same period.
the only two teams I can think of that didnt get one and deserved it was The Allied Powers & the Twin Towers....AP were super over, but Davey wanted to go heel so that was that.Twin Towers had the potential to be dominant and drew good heat.
heres my breakdown of the rest
Smash & Crush were a pathetic shadow of the real Demolition.they were at the back of the que during their short run.
Powers Of Pain were never over.Vince had to abandon their face push and as heels they floundered too.outside of their program with Demolition they did sweet FA.how he thought POP was gonna slot into the program he had meant for The Road Warriors Ill NEVER know.no entrance music or anything.
Power & Glory started out strong but were turned into Jobbers super quick-ditto for The Orient Express
Killer Bees:Timing was against these two.......Demolition were succeeding so well as heels...then Vinnie was gonna turn them face.....The Bees only window was to relieve the Harts-and that honor went to Strike Force.
The Rougeus:similar to the Bees really......they would have had to toppled Demolition & Vince had(correctly)selected Arn and Tully for that job.
The Bushwhackers:a comedy act that got over so effin well doing it that Vince couldnt see past it.
The New Foundation.....their exposure was so brief its impossible for me to say they should have got one.
The Heavenly Bodies.....Vince should have used these guys better....BUT he had already selected The Quebecers to relieve the Steiners.and after RR94 the Steiners were never gonna get a look in again so as heels the Bodies were screwed.
The Beverly Brothers.if Enos & Bloom had been allowed to keep their Destruction Crew gimmick they could have been great for Vinnie.instead they were saddled with this rubbish and used as jobbers.....such a pity.Vince missed a trick here,
The Public Enemy:oh how I wish they had went to Vinnie instead of WCW in 96.....by 99 they had too much against them in WWF to win.backstage enemies, injuries, age etc etc etc.

yeah their record on SNME wasnt much either.....I defo think the Bushwhackers record on PPV during this time is better because they defeated The Rogeaus at WM5 & RR90.although The Bushwhackers didnt appear at Summerslam until 91.

Rockers hardly ever won.
I completely forgot about Allied Powers. One of my favorite tag teams of all time, though short lived. They should have had a good tag team title run!
