I'm watching them. Should be good. Rooting for Breaking Bad to win Best Drama and all the Drama awards it is up for really especially Bryan Cranston and Giancarlo Esposito/Aaron Paul. On the comedy side Modern Family should do well again. We'll see though it starts in like 2.5 hours.

my picks for stuff that i watch.
outstanding drama series: breaking bad outstanding comedy series: curb your enthusiasim outstanding miniseries or tv movie: american horror story
outstanding lead actor in a drama series: bryan cranston (breaking bad) outstanding lead actress in drama series: claire danes (homeland) outstanding lead actor in a comedy series: don cheadle (house of lies) outstanding lead actress in a comedy series: amy poehler (parks and recreation)
outstanding supporting actor in a drama series: giancarlo esposito (breaking bad)
rooting for breaking bad for sure. being a huge seinfeld fan, i love larry david and the last season curb was awesome. i hope that wins the best guest performance in a comedy with michael j. fox haha. i like veep as well, but after just one short season i don't think the show has progressed enough to win this year. love the show though and believe that Julia Louis-Dreyfus is the only one to break the seinfeld "curse". she did it with her adventures of new/old christine which i didn't get into really, but veep has potental. shameless got screwed!

About to start in 3 minutes! EDIT:Great start of the show. I love Kimmel. The first shocker of the night just happened imo. Eric Stonestreet from Modern Family won the Supporting Actor in a Comedy Emmy. I don't think many people thought that he would win again after he won in 2010 but it was for sure going to be a Modern Family dude. Poor Jesse Tyler Ferguson and Ed O'Neill can't seem to win when Ty Burrell and Eric Stonestreet have won at least once in 3 years.

Not watching the show, but I am keeping track of the results...and I must say that the results, especially in the comedy categories, were pretty awful.

really happy Claire Danes won and for Homeland winning best Drama too I would have rather Breaking Bad won for Drama Series but at least Mad Men finally lost and Homeland was my # 2 choice. Damien Lewis was my # 2 choice as well for Lead Drama Actor however he ended up winning which was a shock. I take it the Emmy voters are not going to let Cranston get more than 4 Emmys for the same role on a tv show.. Modern Family dominating was no surprise. I would have liked if the Supporting Actor/Actress winners were new this year from the show but at least some people from the show won. Same goes for Aaron Paul winning his second Emmy for Breaking Bad. I was rooting for Giancarlo since he would have made history as the only African American man to win in the category and it was his only shot since he died.. Like before thought at least my # 2 choice got the win and I am really happy for Aaron Paul.

Really wish Bryan won for Breaking Bad. I don't think anyone can touch him.
Claire Danes is really cool so good for her. If I ever have any time I should check out Homeland.
Much love to Aaron Paul. I love that guy.

Bryan Cranston's submission episode was Crawl Space. A master class in acting. As great as Damian Lewis is, Cranston was completely robbed. No one could touch in that episode. no one.

Oh and Jon Cryer winning over LOUIS CK is a friggen joke. He knew it too. ----------------------A good recap article of the show: www.goldderby.com/television/news/3409/emmys-winners-homeland-modern-family-game-change-tv-news-13579086.htmlAt Sunday's Emmy Awards, the top series awards went to Showtime's freshman political drama "Homeland" and the ABC laffer "Modern Family" which prevailed for the third year in a row. Frontrunner Claire Danes won Best Drama Actress for the first season of "Homeland" and her costar Damian Lewis edged out Bryan Cranston ("Breaking Bad") for Best Drama Actor. The trio of scribes who penned the pilot of this Showtime hit took the writing prize. As "Mad Men" was denied a fifth win, it remains tied with "Hill Street Blues," "L.A. Law" and "The West Wing." Unlike those shows, "Mad Men" has yet to see any of its cast take home an Emmy. Indeed, it was completely shut out of both the primetime and creative arts awards this year, losing all 17 of its bids. Best Drama Supporting Actor went to Cranston's cohort in crime Aaron Paul who won this award two years ago; he becomes the first double winner of this award in 18 years. Among those Paul bested was his heavily favored co-star Giancarlo Esposito who would have been the first African American to win this category. As shocking as that is, there are two other awards that have never been won by an African American -- Best Drama Actress and Best Comedy Guest Actress. "Downton Abbey" scenestealer Maggie Smith won Best Drama Supporting Actress; she earned the equivalent prize last year when the first season of this Brit hit contended as a miniseries. Julia Louis-Dreyfus won Best Comedy Actress for the first season of "Veep." She won this award in 2005 for the first season of "The New Adventures of Old Christine." This was her 13th Emmy bid, tying her with Lucille Ball. In one of the biggest shocks of the night Best Comedy Actor went to Jon Cryer ("Two and a Half Men") who jumped up to this category after the departure of Charlie Sheen. Cryer won the supporting award three years ago. Among those Cryer beat this year was frontrunner Louis C.K. who plays a version of himself in "Louie." However, he did win two of his other seven bids -- for writing an episode of the series and his variety special "Live at the Beacon Theater." The supporting prizes went to two of the sextet of "Modern Family" adult cast members nominated - reigning Best Comedy Supporting Actress Julie Bowen and 2010 Best Comedy Supporting Actor champ Eric Stonestreet. And Steve Levitan won for helming an episode of the laffer he co-created. As expected, the political drama "Game Change" won Best Movie/Miniseries and star Julianne Moore claimed Best Movie/Mini Actress for her portrayal of politico Sarah Palin. Jay Roach and Danny Strong won for directing and writing this telefilm based on the bestelling book by Mark Halperin and John Heileman. However, "Hatfields and McCoys" won both of the male acting awards with featured player Tom Berenger edging out Moore's onscreen running mate Ed Harris for the Movie/Mini Supporting Actor award while Kevin Costner won Movie/Mini Actor for playing one of the patriarchs at the center of the feud. As predicted, Jessica Lange claimed Movie/Mini Supporting Actress Emmy for "American Horror Story." With this FX series slotted into this genre given its anthology nature, expect Lange to be a strong contender again next year. The streak continued for two perennial winners -- "Daily Show with Jon Stewart" won Best Variety Series for the tenth year running while "The Amazing Race" won Reality-Competition Series for the ninth time in 10 years. But perennial also-ran Tom Bergeron pulled off a surprise by winning Best Reality Host on his fifth bid for "Dancing With the Stars."

Sooooo happy that Homeland cleaned up at the Emmys. I love Damian Lewis and the show is a fantastic one. I wouldn't have been pissed if Breaking Dad won a couple of them but... yeah. Really, really happy that Damian Lewis won Best Actor in a Drama and Homeland won Best Drama.

Jon Cryer beats Louis CK for an award that Charlie Sheen couldn't win in 8 years...I guess the Academy doesn't like actors who essentially play themselves.

I skipped these in favor of Sunday Night Football, but man, some of those results are true headscratchers. John Cryer? Seriously?
And from where I stand, it's unfathomable that anything could beat Breaking Bad in pretty much any category, specifically best actor. But I'm probably a little (or a lot) biased.

I like Aaron Paul, he was great last season on Breaking Bad but the emmy should have went to Jared Harris this year.
btw, I also enjoy Modern Family but its no different than any mockumentary show--I don't see why it keeps cleaning house at the emmys every year. Community is much more deserving and it only gets like one nomination.
