I received a letter in the mail from Mattel today, as follows:
Dear Mr. djmaniak667,
We received your WWE Triple H Figure promotion submission; however, the original receipt didn't contain the required information (LIES). The original receipt must be dated between 6/17/2012 and 11/3/2012 (IT WAS) with a minimum purchase of 3 qualifying Mattel WWE Figures or 2 Packs and the 3 original UPC codes were not from required products (my TRU had recently restocked on a lot of the older waves).
You included credit card information and your card has not been charged.
We're sorry we can't process your request.
Thanks,
Mattel Consumer Relations Team
I might add they also neglected to send back the receipt and UPC codes, so I basically spent about $40 for a HHH I'm not getting now. At least the new BOPPV ones I sent in shouldn't be a problem though.

Well hold on, there was a list of figures that were accepted here...you said that they had restocked older figures...if that were the case, why would you assume that the UPC's would be accepted?

I'm glad I wasn't the only one these animals jipped. They somehow misplaced 3 of my upcs, then they have the nerve to tell me their employees are perfect. What a joke, I am 1000% sure I sent everything.

If they restocked older waves, then your UPC's were not qualifying. Pretty much anything Elite 13 on, Basic 13 on and 2Packs 13 on was qualifying.

Considering the only available stock were last year's Elites, and granted, the UPC's may have not been a complete match, another board member mentioned in a similar thread that for the McMahon promotion last year, they had mailed in unmatched UPCs and still received the product. So I tried.

Did you look at the website with the list of qualifying UPCs?
I also got shorted on a HHH COO saying that one of the UPCs didn't qualify but in fact it did. They just sent me a refund of $5 by check and didn't even mail back the other 2 UPCs/receipts. I called and they told me there's nothing they can do. Oh well.

So I tried. I think you solved your own problem there lol. Mattel makes mistakes sometimes so they may have in fact accepted someone else's UPCs that weren't qualifying figures but the truth is they are a company and they have to stick to their firm rules! If your toys r us doesn't have any qualifying figures its technically not mattel's fault its Toys R Us's fault! Don't worry a lot of people are having trouble finding qualifying figures. I myself had to buy 3 Basic 15 john Cena's to get just one COO HHH.

Glad to see there still up to there same old shenanigans on the mail away promos, the same crap happened last year to me and some others with the McMahon. This company really needs to get better equipped to handle these types of things.
they never placed any of the blame on themselves just on TRU. Hope everything turns out well for you.

Well, at least you tried! You can't blame them for not honoring the wrong UPCs.

How is anyone burned. There is a list of valid upc's available. . SIMPLE, he didn't follow the rules, He stated he mailed in UPCs that were not on the list, and tried to get the HHH COO figure. I have bought at least a dozen new qualifing WWE figures and have had NO desire to mail in for the HHH COO figure.
