I really don't like anything about this story arc... Seems super out of place with the rest of it. And they brought Beth all the way back to Atlanta? Wasn't the prison miles and miles from Atlanta? What were they doing way out there? Frustrating... Terminus ran close to Atlanta. They haven't been out of Georgia. However , Chris said he was captured in Virginia, so it shows how far this group travels for surviviors.

What were they doing way out there? Frustrating... I'm going to look like a giant nerd with this post but that's okay. I have been using some of the minor glimpses of real Georgia to determine where the group actually is and where they travel. This isn't an exact science because most of the locations have fictional names. However.. I believe it's a pretty good idea of where they would be in Georgia. I will start with the locations once they leave the CDC in Atlanta since those are actual locations which starts us with Herschel's Farm which is an actual farm in Georgia that was used for shooting all the scenes. The real location of the farm would put them 40 miles south of Atlanta and the CDC. Shane and Otis leave the farm to seek medical supplies which I believe would be Starr's Mill High School in Fayetteville because it's only 4.3 miles from The Farm which would be 'easy' access. Everything happens at Herschel's Farm leading everyone to The Prison which I believe would be The West Central Georgia Prison for it's close proximity to Woodbury - one of the few locations that actually exists in Georgia - which is 23 miles south from The Farm. This would puts The Prison and Woodbury only 18 miles apart from one another. The next major location is Terminus which giving the map that was shown throughout the trip there is in Crawford County near Macon (city) which is 42 miles south of the prison. Now.. for the question of the prison being miles and miles from Atlanta. The Prison would only be 49 miles outside of Atlanta which is more than reasonable to believe they would travel that far down looking for survivors. This isn't an exact science though because I might be incorrect about everything that I have figured but it's the best I can figure given everything I have seen throughout the show. See? Nerd. LOL

LOL 100 miles there and back (and possibly further out) seems like a tremendous waste of gas in the apocalypse though. Especially considering it seems like they are doing it at a very significant rate to find Beth and then Carol so soon after. Just seems like - if you think there's something out there waiting for you - wouldn't you just... leave the hospital and never come back if you had all of this gas and other supplies at the ready? Just seems a little farfetched to me. Maybe when we find out more about them in the episodes to come, it'll make more sense. Also here's a map of all the TWD locations in the comic books: maps.google.com/maps/u/0/ms?ie=UTF8&oe=UTF8&msa=0&msid=211974457044924343699.0004723d3ecc55ac63583&dg=feature

I'm sure you're right about the real-life scenarios but from the comics and other clues, it was always my understanding that they were mostly North of Atlanta... Carol and Daryl chased their car. So it isnt too farffetched that they nabbed her.

I didn't know that map was floating around. That's pretty cool though especially because we agree on the prison. Ha!

I am 8 minutes into Sunday's episode and I just got to say: RIP to that poor likely cute guinea pig. EDIT 1: Oh no that bitch did not slap Beth! EDIT 2:That male cop is a douche! EDIT 3: At least that douche cop got what he deserved. EDIT 4:No WTF why do they have Carol?! Overall this episode was not my favorite at all. They can kill Beth but they better not with my girl Carol!

It's not like Breaking Bad with every second a new drama. It makes no sense to build up an event that involves Beth and the hospital. Season 3 made sense because it was building up to the Governor/Rick War. I agree, I actually watched the series of Breaking Bad and didn't like it at all, it was kinda boring. By the way welcome to the forum.
