I wonder if it's even a love of solitude, rather than...she hates Rick's decision making & bipolar disorder in 'council vs making selfish decisions for himself & throwing it on the rest of the group' & telling her she was a terrible person for protecting herself & others from swine flu & putting people out of their misery when they were slowly dying...& wants nothing to do with a group that didn't fight to go find HER like Rick would make them go fight to find Carl (the same jerk that shot a kid in cold blood to "protect" the group & talk back to Carol like a jerk) If you couldn't tell, I hate Rick lol IMO his leadership is not something I'd be around..hypocritical to say the least - Team Carol See, that's where I disagree, I've been with Rick 100% since he put Sophia down. While he's not been perfect, he has easily been the north star of the group. He's only human, and I think the show's done a great job of showing the kind of pressure someone in his position would be under, in these various circumstances. He sent her away from the flu thing as much to protect her, as to protect other people. He knew Tyreese would likely kill her, and back then, he would have. There's a reason it always comes back to Rick, and that's because he's sacrificed, fought for, and killed for almost each and every one of them, at some point. Most of them wouldn't be around without him (and a few would be around if Carl weren't, lol) -- I think he's an incredibly layered character, and Lincoln hasn't gotten the recognition he deserves for playing him. Moments like Bob talking to him, and thanking him for the prison; Abraham apologizing. Just this season, there have been defining moments of respect for his character. How many ass beatings has Rick G R I M E S took in 4.25 seasons? I say cut the man a little slack, at the VERY least. I don't think Carol hates him, and if she did, that was put to rest, after Terminus. Why does G R I M E S auto to spams? that's fair, I respect your enjoyment of him...I just personally don't like the character - I have no issue with the actor or choices he makes I don't like the leadership of the character (even if it's a lose-lose situation that I'm talking about)....but to each his own where I see hypocrisy that turns me off from his character: 1. telling Glenn he was wrong for keeping Laurie's secret about being pregnant - it's debatable who's right, but who is he to say that while Rick was keeping the secret from the scientist that they're all infected, bite or no bite...that is life or death survival required information & he hid it because he thought it was best for their hope....but tells Glenn he was WRONG. 2. Carol killing ill, contagious people vs Carl shooting a kid that surrendered and was unarmed....both are prob in the right - yet he tells Carol that 'I don't want you around my family?" IMO, Give me a freakin' break...what if everyone said that Carl had to hit the bricks? Rick didn't even bring that up as an option. He made them take a step back and farm. He tried to teach him that he was wrong. Carol has to go forever though...from a personal level - forget Tyrese, Rick said HE didn't want her. side note: His speech after they left the farmhouse & before getting to the prison still makes me furious. I would've left right then if he started trying to yell at everyone & boss them around. His ordering Gabriel around & forcing him to go on the supply run...you try to tell someone they're forced to go risk their life at a place overrun with "walkers" & see how many people you can actually get to do that - he expects people to do things because he's a leader, but I don't see anything he's done to help anybody. The group didn't do anything differently that I can think of, not because of him (nothing that panned into a positive). **at least to me, seemed like shane didn't have it in him to go through with it...he surrendered the weapon actually I think & then he kills his 'not so much a friend' friend - but he said something like, 'you did this,' plus a lot of it was really Laurie that was pitting Shane against Rick until she changed her mind last second

Rick killed Shane. He's dead to me Kyle. If he didn't kill Shane, Shane was gonna kill him... They should have just had Carl kill Shane like in the comics.

Maybe in like a he's got Rick in a kill position and Carl saves his dad from the unhinged Shane kinda thing. I just hate when my faves get killed and what's left is a bit bland. I'm really like.... very hmmm on a lot of these characters and actors and Shane was a home run Abraham is like that void filler but now the group, it's split again and he's leading his and Rick "leads" this one. I've been disappointed with Michonne's development too, curious to whether that character in the comic is as passive given the hype and clamour for her, on the show she's just along for the ride and that's always been a sticky bit with this show is when i sit back and think about these people as characters they're really just blank slates with name tags or was it just that "black chick with a samurai sword" that got people jazzed? And Maggie seems bit like, "who's Beth?" Hmm I think by all accounts the show is in a good rhythm but I strongly desire more character beats in amongst a couple nifty zombie kills. I liked Bob, bleah.

I've never turned a page or read up so that's neat.
With Bob i kinda felt like as with everyone, he's gonna die this episode, he's gonna die this one, the next one, the next one. I think that, that sucked :/ I liked the actor too. And Bob Stookey is just like.... the name of a.... winner.

What I don't get is there's a character in the books that is named Bob Stookey whose story is almost completely different from Bob in the show (he's an army medic and a drunk, but he's white & works for the Governor). The actor who played Bob did well but they never gave me a reason to care about the character. He just appeared randomly one episode like I was supposed to know who he was and then they never gave me much. He almost ed them over because he was a drunk, and then he got himself bit. That's the only noteworth things he did. Never really did anything noble for me to care about him.

I feel Daryl with be with Carol, and the dude Beth is running away with. Forgot his name, but he was cast as Noah a while ago, so I could only see it being him. Yeah, Tyler James Williams from Everybody Hates Chris. That's what I was thinking too, and it would kinda tie in the Walking Dead: Survival Instinct Game. In the game Daryl saves someone named Noah from a hospital, where they were testing on people. I think that's right, it's been a while since I've played that game. I fully expect to see a young Chris Rock walk out of the woods this Sunday, but it probably wont happen though.

My theory about the Daryl telling Carol to come on out is that Carol is carrying Beths dead/bitten body or something. I'm actually going to be disappointed if I'm right.

I got it. During the same time Rick dealt with the Hunters, Daryl and Carol are dealing with the Cross people and find Beth accompanied by Noah. As they escape, Beth and Carol are hurt and are left behind. Daryl only manages to save Noah and once he's back with Rick, they all go to save Beth/Carol for the mid season finale, they save Carol, Beth unfortunately dies.

I am going to Bob-eque the both of you for that, especially if Beth dies. I need one other good looking woman on the canvas that's not Maggie and the lesbian. Rosita's gone for now, I need my fix.

I HATE these characters. With a passion.
All but the Doc, and the black kid. I want out of the hospital, ASAP. Where's Carol to light this place up, when you need her?
We better not be spending 4 episodes in this damn place.

Looking like another Beth episode. That was pretty tense, I must say.

I really don't like anything about this story arc... Seems super out of place with the rest of it. And they brought Beth all the way back to Atlanta? Wasn't the prison miles and miles from Atlanta? What were they doing way out there? Frustrating...
