So I bought this dvd and It came today, Ive just finished half way through the interview (interview is 110 minutes long, Ill watch the rest later as I wanted to check the matches) Now Im onto the matches and I must say this dvd looks

I picked the DVD up awhile back I'm half way done with the interview as well as the matches. Mondo will always be a favorite of mine remember when I was younger and my cousins and I would wrestle id always pretend I was Mondo. I'm enjoying it so far good to go back and see some of his matches i've never seen before.

This was insane

Ive finished the first disk (bar the interview which ill probably check out later) Ill start the other two disks later too. Mondo and TJ are my all time favourites along with bailey and a few others like havoc.

If a copy of Unscarred would've came packed in with this, I would've considered this the essential Nick Mondo collection, and all you truthfully need to see of Nick Mondo.

A lot of the reason Nick Mondo is looked at the way he is, is because he wasn't around for very long. He didn't have a lot of forgettable matches. He did his thing and left, and he did it in a time when no one else was really doing the hybrid deathmatch style in America. But in hindsight, except the really big roof bump that NO ONE should ever try again or ever try to top.. Guys like Drake Younger have done everything Mondo did and much worse. Drake's TOD finals vs. Brain Damage was considerably more violent than Mondo's with Wifebeater.. Drake did the weedwhacker in IWA EC and took it in a much more dangerous spot than Mondo did. But the difference between guys like Drake Younger and Danny Havoc is, while they did the completely insane matches and had so much bloodier matches than most of Mondo's.. they've also been on the scene for roughly 6 years, working almost every weekend each. Every match CAN'T be a classic and the more you work, the more spread out these truly memorable classic and brutal matches are.

Same here. I kind of fell out of indy wrestling when I got into my final year of college. I'll be looking to pick this up because he was always one of my favorite deathmatch guys

The only real deathmatch dude I ever cared for. He comes off as a huge dick in some interviews I've seen recently though.
