How bout we replace it with another Elite line. That way we get more Elite figures and hopefully the roster is more full in the Elites IE: we get everybody(or as close to it as possible) in the Elites that Mattel makes in Basics? Comments...

Nah... dont have the budget for that really. Also they struggle shift most of the current elite series. How would they expect to shift another one? They already have to many figs on sale so anymore would not be good for business.

Stupid idea. Adding another $100+ line of figures a month would just cause more people to fall behind and quit collecting. Not many people have that kind of disposable income. As it stands, there are too many basic figures coming out at the moment and the elites are just about right.

No. Mattel knows what they are doing with the Flashback runs. If it works, then don't fix it. I rather get a couple legends than none at all.

Doubt it would ever happen, if we're lucky maybe sometime down the road they'll relaunch the legends line.

Id only like to see this if Mattel killed the basic line altogether and maybe started putting divas and those lower card guys in elite form in its own elite style series. I love how they do it right now with everything gone, and its cut down to 2 sets plus RSC exclusives and in store exclusives. This really helps everyone catch up and get who they want with out missing out, and we all get to save some cash. Works perfectly.

Here's where I'm coming from on this....I love the Elite figures, but for me there just aren't enough of them so I have to dip into Basics. I just wish for every character they make in basic, they'd make it in Elite too. And for goodness sakes I'm NOT AT ALL saying drop the Flashbacks. HECK NO we gotta get those any way we can. I just wish whether you collect basics, or elites, you got the entire roster. Because from my standpoint, the Elites are expensive, but as much as I(and I'm an avid collector with a budget much the same as anyone else with passion for this)as much as I spend on basics to just fill out the roster and have everybody, I do prefer the Elites over them and I don't see how any less or more expensive that would be compared. Probably a little less to guess. And I'd still want to have 2 Flashbacks per series OF COURSE. Its just that some of us just want to collect the Elites bc they're perfect figures and we'd love to have the entire roster like that. That's all. Maybe wishful thinking again. Btw, everybody's so brave and bold behind a keyboard, aren't they. Some real class acts on here. Mattel and WWE have got to be so proud. I'm 30, and a LIFELONG, DEVOUT, DEVOTED, KNOWLEDGEABLE FAN here, and some of the attitudes on here make me sick.

I've always wondered why it's always just been the one basic line and the one elite line. Keeps things simple obviously, but the predecessors ran two lines for a lot of their run. Might be cool to get a line with elite articulation but no accessories to produce more attires.

I just wish for every character they make in basic, they'd make it in Elite too. It's one thing to wish that. It's quite another to think it's a feasible or sensible move that everyone should agree with. It isn't a feasible move, it's pie in the sky fantasy. The market for these figures isn't us hardcore collectors who spend thousands on these things. A large part of the market for these figures don't have the money OR the inclination to drop on six $20-ish figures every two months, let alone every single month. The basic line is the core line, it allows people to get a figure of their favourite wrestler for around the $10-12 mark. Mattel has had to drop both of their premium figure lines in Defining Moments and Entrance Greats because people just aren't spending that kind of money on little plastic wrestlers in the mass market. They produced too many of them. If they doubled the amount of elite figures released, people wouldn't keep up and that line would die too. Then we'd only get basics.
