Hey guys, I just got my tickets for a Green Day show today. I ordered them from Stub Hub and I'm just wondering if they are legit. Have any of you had any experience with Stub Hub?

It's a pretty reliable website overall imo, I've used it on many occasions to go numerous WWE events and MLB events as well.

Never bought any tickets off StubHub but sold plenty when I haven't been able to go to my Football (Soccer) team's match. Very reliable, it's a company owned by eBay so it's definitely legit.

from what I have heard is that Stub Hub is awfully expensive People can charge whatever they want. Sometimes it can be cheap. I believe if they end up being fake you get your money back plus 20% or something.

from what I have heard is that Stub Hub is awfully expensive It all depends on what you are willing to spend. Majority of the tickets listed are easily double the face value. But if you wait until 24 hours before an event, sellers start getting desperate & begin dropping their prices each hour. I've used them once for a UFC event & had no problems. Got my tickets with plenty of time before the show. I've heard of rare moments when there's an issue with tickets but Stub Hub usually offers a full refund.

I used stub hub twice, and both times it worked out great. I believe they guarantee the tickets are legit too.

I use Stub Hub all of the time. I have had one problem with them selling tickets that I bought to someone else, but they gave me excellent replacement tickets and a nice sum of money back. I have great things to say about Stub Hub.

One bad Stubhub experience.
Night of Champions '10, and basically this guy sold the same pair of tickets twice. They were E-Tickets (aka printed tickets) To me and my friend, and also to a Father and Son who was coming to his first show. In a rare occasion, both sets of tickets scanned in (Either one set, or neither, should scan), And they also told us that should the original ticket holder arrive with their original hard copy tickers, they would trump our printed tickets and grant them access. The Box Office minutes later basically told us "figure out which two get the seats". We gladly offered the seats to the father and son but the father insisted we take the seats. Great show but nothing could have been more a downer then to start the show knowing some scammer just denied a Kid of his first wrestling show.
I promised myself to pay it forward, but I dont think ive done something to equal that amount of kindness yet, as the father displayed.
My advice is to just avoid E-tickets as much as possible. One time is enough for me.

Stub Hub is a very legit site. No scamming. My post begs to differ. Yeah, sucks that that happened, but that had to be a very rare occurence. I must of bought tix from them atleast 10 times and it always ended up working out. I think they track those things. They should know who the scammer is.

I love StubHub. I have used them many times. I actually get tickets to sporting events(mainly baseball) cheaper. MLB has a contract with StubHub and I don't think they would associate with a scam organization.

StubHub is safe and secure, and has some pretty top notch policies that protect buyers and severely punish sellers who attempt to double sell or scam people.
With that being said, it should always be a secondary option for purchasing tickets unless there's a special circumstance. If a show isn't sold out (especially one that's general admission, like I assume Green Day is), you should get your tickets from the official box office, which is usually either Ticketmaster or Live Nation.
Chances are, you paid more than you could have by ordering from the box office.
But occasionally you'll find deals on there, especially really close to the event.

I dealt with them one time. I'm from the Philadelphia area. No problems what-so-ever. Thumbs up.

No problems at all for me with them. I've gotten the last 3 years of Mayhem Fest from Stub Hub. 2010, I paid $142 for 2 tickets in Sect. 100, Row J. Those are supposed to be the VIP ticket package seats, which you have to buy a full VIP package, and those are upwards of $200 or more PER SEAT. I got 2 for $142. And this year, I got 2 in the same section, but Row F so like 4 rows closer, and only paid $67 a piece. StubHub does charge their own fee, which is 10% of the cost of the tickets, but that covers you. If, for any reason, you cannot get in with the tickets you buy from them, StubHub will refund your purchase price. StubHub is my go-to for tickets when I look. Always look first there, and take a few days before deciding.
