So my birthday was the 22nd and I didnt do much for it, just hung out, got an oil change. My friends came over at night and we decided to go to NJ to the Grease Trucks for some Fat bitches (sandwich name). I drove there, no biggy, we ate and then headed home.
Driving home I missed the exit but continued to drive because I saw signs leading to where would take me back on track. Then a cop drives next to me, going same speed, looking into the car and then falls back. Finally puts on his flashy dashy lights. Pulls me over and says the backseat passengers did not have their seat belts on was why he pulled me over. OBVIOUSLY he pulled us over because we were a group of kids driving at night, NY plates and it was the end of the month.
After a sh*tload of questions, I gave him my license and gave him the wrong registration paper. So he said he would give me a "break" and not give me a ticket for the passengers but a summons for wrong registration. Icing on the cake for a pretty crappy birthday. I probably should have gotten a ticket for the attitude I was giving him.
All in all, hopefully I can find my current registration, send it in and get the ticket squashed.
Do you guys remember the first time you were pulled over?

Never give a cop an attitude. I have been pulled over many, many times and have never gotten a ticket simply because they don't dislike me.

First time I was pulled over I was 17, going 80km/h in a 50km school zone. The feeling of those lights going on (I watched as he drove behind me, but didn't put his lights on right away) was terrible. He was a good guy, and let me off. I didn't get pulled until 5 years later, I was going 38 over, got a $295 ticket and 4 points.. went to court, fought the ticket (not because I was right, but to reduce the fine), and got it down to "rolling a stop sign" (no stop signs on that road) $98 and 2 points.. much better!

cool story bro. Hey, at least you weren't drinking and driving or being totally stupid. You got pulled over. Don't get too upset about it.

I've never been pulled over so far, I've been quite fornuate that whenever a passager takes a ride with me that they have their seat belt on. Glad I've never been caught on the interstate yet going 70-80.

I've only been pulled over once in my life, I Was driving thru morgantown on the interstate and being stupid trying to pass this idiot who passed me at like 75, Somehow i ended up getting clocked at 83 in a 55 and got a ticket, Lucky the cop was a nice guy, It landed me a hefty fine but lucky i didn't get any points,
You think you're invincible and nobody will catch you before you actually get caught, I Learned my lesson. I've had no mishaps since then, Also with the price of gas these days its not really that smart to be cruising the interstate at 83mph anyways.

Haha, first time I got pulled over was a couple of months after I got my license. I was eyeing a cop in my rear-view when the lights started flashing. I stopped immediately since there was no place to pull over.
The officer took a look in the backseat and told me, "We had bank robbery over here and your vehicle matches the getaway car but uh, you guys obviously don't match the description of the suspects." I guess the bad guys also drove a Ford Windstar, but they were not a teenager, his little brother and their 80-year old grandpa.
It was a scary 90 seconds, lol. Luckily, 6 years later I still haven't been pulled over. *knocks on wood*

I can't say I've been pulled over. Were I in the USA I probably would get done for speeding on the highway, as I believe the speed limit is quite a bit lower than what it is on our motorways. That would annoy me for sure were I ever to drive in the USA.

Not yet, but a few months ago I was driving with a broken tail light and there was a cop behind me and he didn't pull me over. I saw him in my rear view and was ready for it but I guess he didn't notice. I also was driving while on the phone and a cop passing me in the other lane just motioned me to get off the phone but didn't actually stop to pull me over.

Lol...."End of the month". The Police ticket quota is a myth. A big one.

The first and only time i have ever been pulled over, was me and some friends were coming back from tubing late on the river (Texas thing) and it was after midnight, well apparently the park where we parked was closed after midnight, we knew that, but i thought, a cop wouldn't seriously pull me over at night, well he did. He was just doing his same cop schtick, papers license, etc, then we just kept talking, anything he would say, i would always comply with, and eventually he let us go with a warning, i was extremely happy. I think we were kind of lucky though, we had kind of a intellectually- disabled person cop, he said he smelled alcohol in the car, i said no we haven't been drinking and i said he can search the car if he wants, and he was like why would i search the car..... I don't know maybe because you said you smelled alcohol?

Lol...."End of the month". The Police ticket quota is a myth. A big one. Idk I've heard enough stories from people, including cops over the years that while there is no printed quota, you do need to have something to show for your work. But regardless, today I was looking at the information I gave the officer because I left it in my cup holder, so I know for a fact I gave it to him. It was all my current information, hell my registration was just paid off, and expires in 2 years. But then I was looking at the summons, he used all the information from the registration I handed to him onto the summons but typed the wrong expiration date. Hopefully this will all be sorted out this week and I dont have to pay this fine.

Quotas do not exist. Anywhere.
BTW how did you have a crappy birthday if he gave you a break and didn't write you a ticket?

18 the first time I was pulled over, and rightfully so, I was speeding. I remember the entire time I was waiting for the cop to come up to my truck, I was terrified. My heart was beating like crazy. Thankfully I was given a warning. Then just a couple months ago, I got pulled over for only the second time. I was more pissed at myself this time. Cop was real cool, and told me, he always looks at the history of the people he pulls over, and since I was clean, I got a warning.

Why would you give any cop attitude?
Stupid imo..
I've never been pulled over to answer your question.

I was pulled over just recently for going 80mph in a 65. I was hoping I would get off with a warning considering it was my first time being pulled over, but I ended up with a $115 ticket.
