To that I say, we were a lot more ignorant to the dangers of concussions in the late '90s than we are now. This. No one thought anything about it because no one knew. The NFL started cracking down on it and after the Benoit incident it became a lot more of a perceived threat (because it is one). I am fine with two veterans like HHH and Undertaker doing a chairshot to the "head" as they did at WM since they have been doing it for years and know how to do it safely, but that should hopefully be the last of them. So you are fine with the veterans doing it, yet every once in a while is wrong. If anything I would go with the arms up thing because The Rock did that quite a lot and it still worked out. I still understand where everyone is coming with this but I'm not saying it should be done like once a month. Save it for a special event like Wrestlemania or Extreme Rules if you want and do the arms up thing!

Even when they weren't banned, when was the last time someone suffered a head injury? I can't remember the last timeI saw someone take one & they didn't put there hands up. For the record, I'm not against wrestlers' safety, just playing devil's advocate

No matter what I want the wrestlers we enjoy watching to be safe and healthy. I agree that chairshots aren't worth the damage they cause and wrestling is just as great without em. However, I do enjoy one now and again for some real shock value and drama for a major feud. Think of HBK's chairshots to Taker in 97 .... so epic. Also, the whole Rock v. Mankind thing at Rumble 99 (though this is VERY dangerous). Those moments were made with chairshots .... but then again they may have been just as epic moments if the guys could have come up with a good chairshot alternative.

They added a lot to the match. I still cringe at Jeff Hardy smashing a chair over Brocks head or JBL and Eddie. There is nothing wrong with protected head shots. They don't hurt at all but look devastating.

They won't. And they shouldn't even if they could.

Just teach people how to put their damn hands up when they get 'hit in the head with a chair.'

Me and my friends give each other chair shots sometimes when we are playing Smackdown: Just Bring It. They aren't really that bad, I don't see what the big deal is. I hear Lita has a great Twist of Fate!

Chair shots to the head isn't something I think needs to be implemented into matches. I don't think it's a massive deal if the wrestler on the receiving end protects themselves with their hands. With that said, I think WWE is moving away from moves that even look like they might induce head trauma over sensitivity of that area in today's sports related media.

I always that if the WWE used a softer metal, one that won't cause a concussion, instead it just breaks after a few hard hits., they might be able to do them again.

Just teach people how to put their damn hands up when they get 'hit in the head with a chair.' That won't stop from long term damage being done to everyone. Especially when chair shots looks like crap when people put their hands up anyway. It's not going to happen, nor should it happen. I don't see why everyone cares so much about it.

A chair shot is just a way of getting a story over. So it looks bad, nobody gets hurt if a chair 'barely' bounces off a guys hands. I want chair shots back 'to the head' as a means of telling a story for a great match not to legit injure anyone.
