I came up with an idea for a poll, WHAT IF...
It's very similar to the WHAT IF... comics that Marvel composes, but in this edition, or issue if you must, we will examine the issue of "WHAT IF... Val Venis won the WWE title in 2004"
What do you think would happen?
Would it be something in the poll or different?
Please share your thoughts. I know this is an odd question, but it is What If... and many odd futures can occur in that timeline.
Personally I think that it would have been good for the business if Val Venis was given the WWE title in 2004 because it would have shown the midcard guys that working long and hard could eventually pay off in a big, big way over a long peroid of time.
What do you guys thought?

Where did you get the idea that Val Venis would have won the WWE Title?

This is a "What If..."
Anything can happen. I could even happen! But we won't get that fetched.

He would've lost it in a rematch within eight days, and everybody would look back at it like "Remember that week when Val Venis won the WWF title? That was weird."

It would have been weird because in 2004 the WWE title wasn't called the WWF title. Maybe Venis could have said he was bringing the attitude back to the WWE and renamed the belt?

The only he ever came close to the title was in late 99 or when he won that poll before No Mercy 07.

WHAT IF.... you put this in the classic board?
Also, this is an extremely random and kind of dumb question.

I don't think the idea is that crazy. I think if Venis had been given a new gimmick similar to Undertakers ABA (American Bad Ass) gimmick, he could have easily been the WWE champion by April or May of 2004. He could have started wearing a leather jacket with a leather towel, and perhaps grown a beard to set himself apart from the rest of the roster. He could have started by taking out some of the main eventers like Kane, HBK, Angle, and started feuding for the strip.
EDIT: Be sure to exalt me if you guys like the idea and want to see more in the future!

I assume this stems from when WWE.com did a poll on who the fans wanted to see challenge for the WWE Championship. I think title was vacated or something, that or it was a cyber sunday BS, I may be way off. But everyone on this board along with others followed the Val Venis vote movement which he won with a landslide.
Anyway I think it would be based on ratings and the reaction he'd get on how his career would go from there.

Well then, Val Venis would be the first ever 1,604 year-old champion.

If Val Venis came anywhere near the WWF/E Championship after 1999, then I would've wished that he didn't suffer shrinkage.

I remember WWE.com having some sort of World title in late 2004 poll & Val Venis was winning by a landslide. I assume the IWC all banded together to do that.

I voted "Other" as in WWF would have went out of business Lol
No, just kidding. I never disliked Val but he would have never made sense in that role in my opinion.
