The wrestlers listed and announced weights are more realistic and totally different now. For instance they used to announce Undertaker at 328 lbs, and dating back to ABA taker they have since said he weighs 310 or 312. Big show used to be "over 500 lbs" now they say hes 450, and hes fatter than ever! Rock used to be 275 now hes 260, and hes way bulkier than he was in 98-04.
They list Punk at 218? I believe and Dolph at 212. If those 2 wrestled in the 90's they'd announce them anywhere from 230-245 ala' bret hart, hbk, or ric flair.
Now I know its the old "well they add an inch or 2 to nba players' height" or "hey man, people do gain and lose weight." but that's not where I'm going with this. They just seem more realistic now.

I saw this too! Look on the back of Elite 13 and 17 Sheamus carding, it even adjusts his stats there! I thought I was the only one, or going crazy.

There was a report a while back about WWE deciding to bill people by their real heights/weights, so if you're noticing changes, it's probably that.
Also, Big Show isn't "fatter than ever". He's in much better shape than he was before he left WWE. Not quite as good as he looked in 2008, but not bad for a very large man in his 40s.

Before he left WWE? When he first came in 99 to 04 he actually had definition in his arms and everything. I realize hes a big dude. So since he's the fattest hes ever been in his career, "fatter than ever" suffices.

Big Shows weight got way out of control by 2000, they took him off TV for the second half of that year and shipped him off the the fat farm.

Big Show looked good in 2000, I never understood why WWE sent him to lose weight. Hell, he looked worse when he returned at Royal Rumble Also, when I said he looked bad before he left, I meant 2005-2006.

To be fair, Takers could be somewhat legitimate, he does seem trimmed down compared to his ministry days

Looking at pics, I think Big Show started to lose it around 2002, but around the time he won the US Title, that was when he really began to gain?

I always wondered about billing their heights. Why do the bill them taller than they really are?

They always bill Orton at 6 ft. 4 when in reality he's 6 ft. 5.

I think its Vince's big man fetish thing. trying to put guys over as giants thus more impressive.

Back in the day heights and weights always used to be exaggerated to make wrestlers appear larger than life. If they told you a guy's height and weight you would believe them because you couldn't really tell. But now there's better TV cameras, more lighting, and you can get closer to the wrestlers. So now it's like "Hey, I'm 5'8" and you're the same size as me. You're not 6'0"!"
I think Triple H once mentioned how HBK was always billed at 6'1" but he's really 5'10".
Also, in WCW Big Show was billed at 7'4". But when he came to WWE he was billed at 7'2". Now they just say 7'0".

Rock was always billed, at least by JR, as 6'5'' 265lbs. Especially when he first came into the company.

Big Show is considerably smaller now than he was when he left in 2006.

Big Show in 2005/2006 looked like he was in a lot of pain...you can tell by just looking at him. Him taking over a year off, healing injuries and losing weight then coming back in 2008 was the best thing for his career.
