Matt Striker/Todd Grisham > JBL. He grew on me back in the day, but I honestly hate commentating these days. Thanks to the bullcrap Michael Cole spews, I've learned to just ignore it completely. Matt Striker was the absolute worst at spewing bullcrap. He'd try to come up with nicknames for everyone or get philosophical when there was no reason for it. The only times I really enjoyed him was any time he showed Lawler up.

I think that was one of the reasons he got replaced that week on SmackDown by Booker T.

Like was mentioned, I think JBL is very good on commentary because he makes sure you know each guy in the ring matters. Right, we all know Yoshi Tatsu is probably going to get squashed, but he'll put over his training and his speed. He tries to make it a point that even being in WWE makes you a world-class competitor. Sure, he gets annoying and repeats himself, but you'll get that with any announcer in any sport. It's a minor foul compared to the positives he brings, if you ask me.

JBL can be repetitive at times, but he tries his best to make everyone seem important, and that's something I feel WWE commentary has lacked for a long time. Pretty much just JBL and JR do it.
I don't care what part of the card someone is on, they should be making use believe that person is worth watching.

JBL is an amazing on commentary. He tells the history and lets us know exactly what we are watching...I still wish they would call more of whats going on in the ring as far as moves go though...
