oh Jesus.......this just got worse for me because I forgot the following.
I just watched the rematch from Starrcade on Nitro December 29th.Sting laid a hammering on Hogan in an exciting back & forth affair gave away on FREE tv......
Sting gets pinned by Hogan after foreign object shot then holding the tights.......JJ Dillon restarts the match with a different ref and Sting makes Hogan submit with the Scorpion.......Bischoff cancels the decision......
what was worse?seeing Bret attack the nWo with FERVOR following bullcrap split decision number 2.
ah Jesus wept.what a travesty.....what could have been.

Its been mentioned elsewhere but another aspect that could have saved WCW was Bischoff reining in the influence that Hogan and Nash had over the company. Hogan's ego has been well documented, but I also want to point out Nash's booking powers and how he was unwilling to really push the younger guys like Benoit, Jericho, Guerrero, Saturn, Malenko, and Kidman, guys who could have definitely injected more life into the company than seeing Hogan run with the belt like it's the old Federation days. Not to mention really giving Bret Hart the momentum that he had following Montreal, such wasted potential all around.
