As a "general" collector, I wanted to weigh in with my take on RSC finally, as I feel this week has really summed up their company for me.
About a week ago, I posted on a thread here that I was upset that they used an image of Red Sin Cara and the Sig Series ended up being a blue figure. One of RSC's guys on here took the time to message me and explain that all they get from Mattel is the list of guys, no real details on them.
I wasn't aware of this because generally, the images they choose are very close to the figs that come out. BUT, I did appreciate them messaging me and explaining that they weren't trying to bait and switch anyone, it was just a matter of working on only so much information.
I took this into consideration and decided as I was already up on Monday, to take part in Cyber Monday. Now, I don't order from RSC often, but I thought I'd take part this year. I got the Dana White exclusive and ordered the Sig Series 2012 Rey Mysterio...
The package arrived today, and I open it to find Dana and this...
Obviously not what I had ordered. I was annoyed, but decided that for the 2.99 or so (+shipping) it wasn't worth the hassle, and decided to just give it to Toys 4 Tots.
I did decide to send them an e-mail though, because it has become obvious that they seem to care about their clients and the product they sell. Gas has gotten expensive and the shipping charges actually work out to be cheaper than gas costs most of the time.
I politely explained that I received the wrong figure, that I understood it was probably human error but that I would just give it to Toys 4 Tots.
I received an e-mail back from them today with a sincere apology, that the appropriate figure was being shipped today, and that I was welcome to keep the wrong figure on them. I have to say that this was splendid customer service and that I could not have asked for more from an organization.
Because of gas prices and no guarantee I'll find anything, I'm going to start shopping with RSC much more often. That they have provided such good service this week only further convinces me that this is a company I want to do business with. From a lower-tier collector, sincerely, thank you RSC, for proving that some businesses do continue to care about those that shop with them.
Going to post pics next week of all the figures I've gotten since getting back into collecting this month.
Now for the question: I went to Walmart in hopes to find this cube that supposedly had B23 and E17, as I want Kane, Fox and Mankind. I didn't see said cube, but I did find the 2 pack with Mark Henry/Trent Baretta. Not big on keeping it as I don't much care about either one of them, but is it at least decent trade fodder? I'd trade the 2pk for the right deal.
